Rob’s Really Short Movie Reviews: National Treasure Book Of Secrets

It was ok, funny and entertaining in a lot of ways, but Aztecs in South Dakota?

C’mon.

Would have been a lot more enjoyable if the historical research that went into the film had been a little more accurate.

Go see Charlie Wilson’s War instead.  Hilarious and enlightening.

Rob, you didn’t by chance see it in Bismarck, did you? rasberry

You must not have noticed my other post about me seeing your look-a-like at the National Treasure showing in Bismarck.

"Charlie Wilson’s war” is pure leftie propaganda.  They keep trying to rewrite history to deny Reagan’s leadership in defeating the Soviets, much like Stalin removed Trotsky’s image from photographs.  Same mentality.

Of course the Aztecs were in South Dakota. Who else do you think built Mount Rushmore?

They were here to visit the aliens (ancestors to Tom Daschle.)

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

If the Aztecs can visit South Dakota then Rob can certainly drive to Bismarck, with a GPS of course.

Have we figured out who’s wife he was with?

Robert108, it’s much worse than you say.  Not only are they trying to take away credit from Reagan, they’re trying to give credit to the Democrats for a Republican agenda.

From Wikipedia:

The policy of aiding anti-communist resistance forces in Afghanistan enjoyed some bipartisan support in the U.S. However, while Wilson was a Democrat, the policy’s broader and highly controversial application around the world, in Angola, Cambodia, Nicaragua and other nations, was largely opposed by U.S. Democrats. The policy was mostly a creation of the conservative Heritage Foundation, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank, whose foreign policy experts visited with these forces and advocated support for them. The policy was embraced by Reagan administration foreign policy and defense officials, who sought escalated conflict against these Soviet-supported governments, and Carter himself later distanced himself from the policy’s broader application and was a vocal opponent of U.S. aid to these movements

Letstat, if you want enlightenment stay away from Hollywood.  All you get there is third-rate fiction.

The movie made no claims about any of the places that you mentioned.  It spoke about Afghanistan and was largely true.

How can somebody who uses wikipedia as a source caution anybody about sources.

Aztecs in South Dakota?

How about Jesus in Utah?

The wife love this movie. I only kinda enjoyed it.  The conclusions that they draw from the clues are a little far fetched.  The entire plot is based on happenstance.
