Rob’s Getting Paroled Today From the Hospital

I was just talking to Rob and he’s sore and wiped out from the surgery but he’s going home today.  I know that anesthesia’s hard on you in addition to being difficult to spell.

Update by Rob: I’m feeling pretty good, but still really sore and woozy.  The doctor was able to do the surgery with a scope as opposed to the traditional incision, but he said he had to “dig around a bit” to get things done.  And believe you me, I’m feeling it all right now.

I’m able to get out of bed on my own now, and I’m off the IV.  I should be heading home around noon today, but at this point even just walking to the end of the hall wipes me out so it may still be a couple of days yet before I’m up to full speed.

Update by the Whistler

I assume you’ll be expecting me to be cleaning your fish in the meantime?

A big welcome home to Rob!  And he’s home in time for Christmas.  I’m sure it will be much more enjoyable this way.

For the hospital staff at least.

Did he keep the gall bladder? Quite a market for those in certain countries!

It’s going to be brutal around here at Say Anything’s Virtual World Headquarters.  Before this little episode it was Whistler gofer this.  Whistler gofer that.  Whistler go shovel out my driveway.  Whistler, get out of Bat’s parking spot......

Now with him playing up his surgery I don’t know how bad he’ll be.

Did he keep the gall bladder?

The surgeons were able to remove a sizable portion of Rob’s wallet...which will not be returned!

Those who think the party or the country, will be “taught a lesson” by handing the levers of power over to the liberals will learn a lesson, but it will be at the expense of our country and her liberties. And there are no guarantees that the party or the country will come out stronger, more conservative or better positioned to win elections against the incumbent liberals.

Please do what the doctor tells you.  I went back to work too soon because of a horrible boss (no longer work for him btw) and I shouldn’t.  To bed with thee, laptop or not!

Rob, welcome home, and take it easy.  Jo’s right that a lot of people end up in misery because they try to get back to the daily grind too soon.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Rob milked this as much as he could.

And don’t be over indulging, as much as you want to put a hurtin’ on the turkey and ham and pie your body ain’t gonna be up to it for awhile. Moderation, and go heavy on the water, got to flush all that vile hospital glack out of your system.

Tancredo’s out and you’re in.

Coincidence?

I’m happy to hear you are back.
Good luck with your recovery.
It’s a great day to start a new diet too.

LOL.  Selling something from Rob to China to be used as an aphrodisiac.  That will teach them for sending us lead pain on toys.

Without the incision you will recover much faster!  But it does not sound like a typical gall bladder surgery.  Glad you are through the worst!

I’ll be sticking to the diet I started shortly before all this happened.

Thanks to the hospital, I’ve already lost 10 pounds since Saturday.

The only thing that stinks now is that they’ve still got a drain tube in my stomach.  That both hurts, and makes moving around awkward with a little tube full of bile swinging from my stomach.

The war against illegal plunder has been fought since the beginning of the world. But how is… legal plunder to be identified? Quite simply. See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them, and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong. See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime. Then abolish this law without delay … If such a law is not abolished immediately it will spread, multiply and develop into a system.
