John Hawkins asked me to participate in another poll recently. This time respondents were to list the twelve people on the right they like the least.

  • Pat Buchanan
  • Ann Coulter
  • Lincoln Chafee
  • Arlen Specter
  • Tom DeLay

  • James Dobson
  • Mike Huckabee

And there was that pleading guilty to perjury thing.

  • robert108

aNON: Congratulations! You finally found a very small detail with which to smear the man! His conclusion agrees with the stats, btw, but you are saying that it defies common sense. Very good! We should never support any politician who makes any sort of mistake, no matter how small or insignificant or highly technical in nature. You’re not a Chomskyite, are you? He is famous for finding some nitpicky error and using that to justify trashing the whole thing. Nice thinking.

  • robert108

rbb: Namecalling is inherently untruthful. What I said was the truth, much as you would like to deny.

Who cares what Richard Foster said? What do you say? Give us your highly informed opinion, instead of using mouthpieces.

  • robert108

aNON: I know this goes against your grain, but Coburn is right about the implants. Banning them was total junk science, and a violation of our Constitutional process. It was ginned up by the MSM and its leftie agenda.
Nice try, though. If you can’t smear him for being against gays, smear him because he doesn’t buy into the junk science about silicone breast implants.

  • http://SayAnythingBlog.com The_Whistler_ofnd

I like Ann Coulter, but that us sarcastic types have to stick together.

  • aNONOMISLY

rob,he said Breast transplant MAKE people healthier.

i.e. one would become healthier for having a transplant,

    Coburn:

“they (i.e. breast transplant) MAKE you healthier.”

“You know, I immediately thought about silicone breast implants and the legal wrangling and the class-action suits off that. And I thought I would just share with you what science says today about silicone breast implants. If you have them, you’re healthier than if you don’t. That is what the ultimate science shows…In fact, there’s no science that shows that silicone breast implants are detrimental and, in fact, they make you healthier.”

  • http://peatbog.net/ Sphagnum

I guess the key is “like the least”, not “dislike”… I’d have almost none of those people on a list of people I like the least on the Right, espcially DeLay, Dobson, Robertson, and Coulter…

  • brent j.

why mike huckabee? i don’t know anythign about him.

  • robert108

aNON: According to the stats, that’s true. It’s probably an artifact of healthier people being more willing to have surgery, or something like that, but the numbers support him. Perhaps you can find another way to smear him.

  • http://SayAnythingBlog.com The_Whistler_ofnd

    Perhaps Sen Coburn?

  • http://www.freerepublicans.com/ FreeRepublicans.com

why mike huckabee? i don’t know anythign about him.

    He’s an ordained minister.
    And he’s from Hope, Arkansas.

  • aNONOMISLY

    Perhaps Sen Coburn?

Do you mean Sen Tom “Gays-are-the-greatest-threat-to-our-freedom” Coburn?

..I like his type of fiscal policy

  • aNONOMISLY

rob, dissenting is miles away from calling it the greatest threat to our freedom. Even I dissent with gay marriege, though I’m somewhat ok with giving gays partnerships about the same legal right as those given to married couples.

and it’s not just that, take a read at this:

“You know, I immediately thought about silicone breast implants and the legal wrangling and the class-action suits off that. And I thought I would just share with you what science says today about silicone breast implants. If you have them, you’re healthier than if you don’t. That is what the ultimate science shows…In fact, there’s no science that shows that silicone breast implants are detrimental and, in fact, they make you healthier.”

    ..Tom Coburn is a doctor.

    Clarification:

I would take Pence’s plan in a heartbeat over the Bush plan.

Is he seriously contemplating a run?

  • realitybasedbob

I am actually surprised the W isn’t on this list, considering his big government spending proclivities and his backpedaling on most of the Con domestic issues and all.

    Clarification:

I would take Pence’s plan in a heartbeat over the Bush plan.

  • http://www.freerepublicans.com/ FreeRepublicans.com

I’d love to see a list of the most admired on the right.

Well my list would read like this:

    Mike Pence (except immigration)
    Tom Tancredo (especially immigration)
    Pat Buchanan (see Tancredo)
    John Shadegg
    Jeff Flake
    Ron Paul

umm, that pretty much it, it’s a short list indeed.

  • robert108

Sorry, bud; I care a lot more about Ann’s points. See, for me, she’s already one of the best Conservatives out there. I wouldn’t change a thing about her.

  • aNONOMISLY

The real message here is that the junk science prohibition on silicone implants was WRONG! Aren’t you glad it was overturned? Sheeesh!

Tom Coburn is a DOCTOR!, and that does not excuse nor justifie a doctor from saying such a ridiculous thing.

  • http://www.freerepublicans.com/ FreeRepublicans.com

Free: This is one subject on which we are in complete agreement! As Jerry Seinfeld said: “Well, I have legs.”

Well, we now have basis for consensus.

It’s like Kissinger and the shape of the table in Paris.

  • aNONOMISLY

I’m sure he was also right about breast implant making people more healthier.

  • aNONOMISLY

I never said I wouldn’t support him. In fact, while I’m still perturbed by some of the things he has said, I still very much like the fact he’s one of the most fiscal conservative member of the senate, something which to me means alot.

  • robert108

aNON: I’m not particularly fond of, or trusting of, doctors either. This has nothing whatsoever to do with his politics, which was the initial issue. You seem to be going out of your way to smear the guy, to the extent of cherry-picking a word to do it. What’s up with that? Do you expect a politician to be a perfect saint? Or just this one guy? Maybe you have another agenda you haven’t revealed yet. You seem to be reaching, here.

  • hamfist

Why would you dare put Coulter on the list, rob? She makes the Republican agenda so accessible to the mainstream. Every word that spills from her mouth is like a beautiful flower of sanity, compassion and intelligence. I would have to say she’d be the best republican out there if she only dressed more modestly.

  • robert108

Free: So do I, but the intrusion of junk science to me is just the same as environmental junk science; it’s a menace to our freedom. If junk science determined that breasts were unhealthy, and forced all women to have them removed, wouldn’t you be sorry? I know I would!!! I consider breast reduction to be a heinous crime. ;-)

  • hamfist

I think you’re missing my point.

  • http://www.freerepublicans.com/ FreeRepublicans.com

I consider breast reduction to be a heinous crime. ;-)

    It’s a crime against humanity.

The Geneva Convention must be amended to say such.

  • aNONOMISLY

I’d love to see a list of the most admired on the right.

Congressman Jeff Flake would top my list

  • robert108

The real message here is that the junk science prohibition on silicone implants was WRONG! Aren’t you glad it was overturned? Sheeesh!

  • robert108

aNON: Why smear Coburn for not agreeing with the gay agenda? What about his right to dissent? He may have a point, with the gay lobby trying to sidestep the overwhelming majority and force “gay marriage” on us.

  • robert108

hamfist: “…if she only dressed more modestly.” You are missing Ann’s point entirely.

  • http://www.freerepublicans.com/ FreeRepublicans.com

The real message here is that the junk science prohibition on silicone implants was WRONG! Aren’t you glad it was overturned? Sheeesh!

    I prefer natural.

  • realitybasedbob

    Namecalling is always so persuasive.

    robert108 on June 6, 2006 at 12:31 AM

  • robert108

rbb: You labeled my accurate description as “namecalling”, that’s when. He also suborned perjury from Monica, and took campaign money from the military of a foreign country(China).
    I ask again:

Who cares what Richard Foster said? What do you say? Give us your highly informed opinion, instead of using mouthpieces.
    robert108 on July 31, 2006 at 1:18 PM

Can you give us any sort of answer?

Continuing the big spending projects of the Dems, which have existed for generations, was not a good thing, but our President hardly invented the practice, now did he? If you liked it when the Dems did it, why complain now? Partisanship?

  • aNONOMISLY

MY main concern is fiscal polity and so my list would probably have a combination of the elected official topping both of these two lables.

  • robert108

BTW, rbb, I have no hope of convincing you that our former President is a lying scumbag. It is a matter of public record, though. Saw him on live TV, wagging his finger at us while he lied through his teeth, sitting next to his “wife” as if he was a faithful husband. Despicable.

  • http://www.freerepublicans.com/ FreeRepublicans.com

I would take Pence’s plan in a heartbeat over the Bush plan.

Is he seriously contemplating a run?

It’s purely a Draft Pence Movement at this point.

  • robert108

rbb: Shows how little you know, dude. We are grateful to have an honest leader running the country, instead of some lying scumbag.

  • http://www.freerepublicans.com/ FreeRepublicans.com

How the bleep can implants make you/ a woman healthier?

    Maybe psychologically, certainly not physically.

  • realitybasedbob

What did Richard Foster say about our dear leader and his Medicare Bill’s costs?

  • robert108

Free: This is one subject on which we are in complete agreement! As Jerry Seinfeld said: “Well, I have legs.”

  • realitybasedbob

Straw grasping on a Monday morning, huh r108?

Where have I ever denied that CLIIINNNTTTONNN lied about having sex with that woman?

HE LIED UNDER OATH ABOUT MONICA.

What did Richard Foster say about our dear leader and his Medicare Bill’s costs?
