When he first starts preaching he seems to be arguing against those who are against slave reparations because slavery was something perpetrated by our ancestors, not by us. He says that unless you're willing to throw away your trust fund and your retirement funds you can't be against reparations because even though our ancestors perpetrated slavery, we modern whites benefited from it.

Which is an utter crock. My ancestors never enslaved anyone. At least not since the middle ages. My ancestors were Scandinavian immigrants who settled in North Dakota around the turn of the last century.

So why should I have to give up my retirement that I paid into because some people I'm not even related to enslaved blacks centuries ago?

And to say that I benefited from slavery? That I am successful because of slavery? What an insulting thing to suggest.
