Rev. Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright, To Speak At The National Press Club

I’m sure Obama is just thrilled about the additional publicity his mentor and spiritual leader of 20 years will be getting.

The Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., senior pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, will discuss the role of faith in the public square in a presentation entitled, The African American Religious Experience; Theology & Practice, at a National Press Club breakfast on April 28th.

Dr. Wright will also talk about his pastorate, his development as a theologian and teacher, and the how the issues of social justice and global inequities have shaped his faith and his fight for those who are most marginalized in society. He will address the legacy and tradition of education in his family. And Dr. Wright will put into perspective theologically, historically and politically, his ministry and public service that has been so widely discussed in the media.

Wonder if he’ll get into the issues that shaped his beliefs with regard to the American government creating HIV to exterminate black people.  I’d be interested in learning more about that.

At the bottom of the page at the link above there’s an invitation to submit questions for Rev. Wright.  I doubt anything the Say Anything audience could come up with would be asked, but submit anyway.  Who knows.  Maybe someone in the media has the stones to ask this guy a tough question.

If you submit a question, post it in the comments below.

Do you agree that some of your comments since 9/11 will probaby destroy any opportunity for the first African American to become president of these United States for the next fifty years?

Dear Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., “Why do you preach that the AIDS virus was intentionally created by our government to kill African Americans?”

Dear Rob I do believe that the American government created HIV to exterminate black people. But one issue comes to mind. Were your fathers, grandfathers, uncles, etc, used as live guinea pigs for the study of syphylis?

To charge the US, which in this context has to mean white people, created HIV to exterminate black people, one must have objective evidence of some kind or despite the syphillis experiments the one making those charges appears to have lost all sense of reality and is delusional. To say, one can understand why such charges about HIV may have gained credibility among people of color because of the syphillis experiments would appear more reasonable, albeit still not based on objective evidence of any kind.

Wright’s comments about “God damn America,” in context, absent the anger is not IMO a wild eyed, crazy belief, as I believe abortion will bring down God’s special Judgment on America. If that was the only charge against Wright, I would find it to be an unreasoanble and unfair hyper-partisan attack by the Right, a thinly veiled and stupid way to question Obama’s character. But, it is not all, there is a pattern of angry, anti-American attacks on America and white people by Wright over many years, which while not uncommon among African-American Christian ministers, nonethless demonstrates that Obama did not find this anti-American and I believe anti-white rhetoric offensive to him or outside his own beliefs. Yes, he claims such offense now, but you have to admit the timing is highly suspect!

Rob has established such a pattern of speech by Wright and he has further demonstrated that Obama has had a series of questionable relationships, which to a reasonable person might appear to be a pattern of behavior that should cause everyone to question his character.

No matter the age or state of health, for a military man it is always glorious to tilt at windmills, rescue a fair Dulcinea and be a gallant knight in armor in a glorious cause.

If you believe in Darwinian evolution theory then you must allow for the natural evolution of a deadly virus like AIDS. I’m sure that doesn’t fit the collective / selective mindset of the left. Especially if you are psychologically inclined to a victim hood mentality that supports conspiracy theories.

Don’t even pretend that native/bush Africans don’t naturally carry a lot of sexually transmitted diseases.
