Rev. Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright Shouts “Barack Hussein Obama” At NAACP Event

To...um...prove that Arabic is not a religion.  Or something.

Discussion question: With Obama having to carry this nut on his back all the way through November does he even stand a chance?

Congratulations Rob, you and yours have been harping on Wright for so long now, you have unwittingly gave him more power and audience base than he previously had.

Now you are going to have to deal with moments like this when he hits it out of the park.  You will no doubt focus on the snippets, like this, where you can somehow manage to spin yourself stupid, but the rest of America saw the entire speed today, thanks to people like you, and I think they are going to see a much different picture of Wright, compared to how you have been painting him.

Thank you.

And your point is ...

Wright made an EXCELLENT point! The media has been overtly stressing the Hussein in Obama’s name to somehow bring to the public’s mind the negativity associated with radical Islamic followers. Get it? Barack HUSSEIN Obama=Muslim=Terror. Therefore Barack is one of them ‘ole Mooslims who wanna destroy freedum and Americanness and the good ole ways of life! He wants to declare Jihad on us!

Rev Wright was clarifying this and showing that although Hussein is an Arabic name, Arabic does not indicative of the Muslim faith (and even if it was, so the hell what??). Arabic is a language and that’s it! Arabic speakers come in many religions.

And I love how you only show a clip of the speech ... this is exactly why everyone has been criticizing the media. I get it though. You see what you want to see ...

Pied Piper on April 28, 2008 at 12:08 am

Arabic does not indicative of the Muslim faith (and even if it was, so the hell what??)

You say “so the hell what” as if Islam was benign.

Let me guess, you’re one of those people who believe that religious views are above reproach.

Not only that, but you have given the twit Hannitized more audience base than he deserves!
(How will the Republic stand?) /sarcasm

where you can somehow manage to spin yourself stupid, but the rest of America saw the entire speed (sic) today,

Talk about spinning yourself stupid! Is speed really your problem, Hannie?
(I would have guessed crack!)

Seriously, Hannie take some of the proceeds of that .5mil (thickness?) deal you were crowing about the other day and get an English tutor! (Sell a couple of houses off of Baltic and Mediterranean if you have to!)
Or consider getting a GED. It’s probably not too late! Or… you could simply come here as you are and continue to embarrass yourself in front of a worldwide audience. Your choice!

Those who think the party or the country, will be “taught a lesson” by handing the levers of power over to the liberals will learn a lesson, but it will be at the expense of our country and her liberties. And there are no guarantees that the party or the country will come out stronger, more conservative or better positioned to win elections against the incumbent liberals.

Proof on April 28, 2008 at 04:18 am

BTW, Hannie: If you think that repeated exposure to the venom that Jeremiah Wright is spreading gives him more power, you seriously underestimate the revulsion that most Americans feel for that type of demagoguery.

I don’t mind being insulted on typos. Hell, I don’t even mind if you pick on my grammar, at times.  But I just wish you would pepper your queen spelling bee rants with an argument once in while.

It’s almost as if you are tying to change the subject by talking about things that are not related to the issue at hand?  Now where have i heard that argument before?

Q: Do you think this speech was laced with venom?

Proof,

I am sure you are right.  Because why would people from your side listen to someone who spews venom?  What sort of idiots would listen to people like Rush Limbaugh for over 15years?  Or who would read and listen to Michele Malkin, Ann Coulter or Sean Hannity?

Oh yeah.....that’s you guys.  My bad.

I was just as angered by his remarks about Bush lying us into war, which is absolute crap, that itself is a damnable lie; and his attacks on Cheney’s non-military record (They forget he was Secretary of Defense and thus over all the military), when Cheney had nothing to do with Wright being exposed for his hate-filled sermons.

Wright is an unapologetic racist of the worst order and does not seem to be a very good example of the love of God towards all creation.

No matter the age or state of health, for a military man it is always glorious to tilt at windmills, rescue a fair Dulcinea and be a gallant knight in armor in a glorious cause.

Proof, I am sure you are right.

I am, but in your feeble mind, you’re lying again. It comes natural to you, like breathing and misspelling words and using incorrect grammar and being a complete asshole.
Thanks for the false equivalence. Rush Limbaugh never said anything close to “God Damn America”. Also, Rush does not discriminate according to race, like the race baiter Wright.

who would read and listen to Michele Malkin, Ann Coulter or Sean Hannity?

Put up or shut up, troll. One example each from Rush, Ann, Sean and Michelle...anything that comes close to the demagogic inflammatory rhetoric of Jeremiah Wright.

Or are you lying still? Have you ever told the truth on this site? Once?

Otherwise, keep your promise, lying troll:

That is it.  I am done with this site.  I am dead certain 80% of your pool is fucking retarded Ron.

Seriously, dude.....that is just fucking complete lunacy.  Go back to school, you lack basic reading comprehension skills.  It explains a lot though.

And for the newly initiated, the “Ron” that Whine-itized is referring to is “Rob”. The Han-job was just exercising his usual fine attention to detail!

Venom is venom is venom.  Why do you think there is a false equivalence between people who spew venom?

I have some questions that haven’t been addressed by the main stream press.  How did this campaign suddenly become about a sermon given in 2003?  How many people have bothered to listed to the quote “God Damn America” sermon in its entirity?  I am a white woman who has bothered to listed to it all and it was taken out of context.  Here is another example.  Reverend Wright is refering to others who have been stressing Mr. Obama’s middle name.  Others who are using fear based politics. Eventally when everyone has calmed down, it will be obvious that someone dug up this sermon from 2003 to cause ratial tension and to do whatever they could to make sure their candidate wins.  You decide who that is!

Rebecca on May 4, 2008 at 06:39 am

Rebecca:  Nice try.  But the truth is that there have been dozens of Jeremiah Wright sermons loaded with horrendous accusations:  We deserved to be attacked on 9/11, The US Government introduced AIDS in Africa to kill black people, God Damn America, The KKK of the USA, and on-and-on.

Last week Rev. Wright appeared before the National Press Club and expanded on his outrageous, hate-filled claims, leading the Senator from Illinois to hold yet another press conference condemning Wright’s views.

The only problem is, Obama has been listening to those views for 20 years!

You need to get over your emotional attachment to Barack and start using your brain.

Please link us to anything anywhere that proves Barack Hussein Obama has been influenced by the offensive comments of his former pastor.

Please show us where Obama has said God damn America.
Please show us where he thinks AIDS is a government program.
Please show us anything at all that definitively proves Obama has fallen in line with Wright on any his controversial opinions.

RBB:  Linking to anything that PROVES what a man thinks, is impossible.  You know that.

What CAN be linked is Senator Obama’s 20 year association with, and substantial contributions to, Rev. Wright.

Do I think that Barack Obama believes any Wright’s claims?  Not sure.

Do I think that Barack Obama remained in close association with the man who believes them?  Yes.

And because one of Obama friends has crazy ideas, he is unfit to hold office?

RBB:  The associates of any candidate for President of the United States is fair game for scrutiny; especially one who holds the radical views of Rev. Wright while in a close relationship [marriage, baptisms, spiritual guidance] for twenty years.

Never said Obama was unfit. Just told Rebecca to use her brain.

Defend Mr. McCain’s seeking and proud acceptance of Mr. Hagee’s endorsement for me.

RBB: I can’t - and won’t - defend McCain on this because I don’t know enough about it yet.

So far, it looks like a feeble straw-man issue put up by Dems to counter the very damaging Wright/Obama relationship issue.

If it turns out that McCain is culpable, I will have no problem condemning him for it.

RBB:  Understood, but still a straw-man issue at this point.

Is McCain a member of this man’s parish?  Did he marry the McCains?  Did he baptize the McCain children?  Has he been McCain’s spiritual advisor?  Has McCain donated $20,000 to him?  Was he invited and then un-invited to pray at McCain’s campaign-launch?

Like I said, if McCain becomes culpable on this, I will take note.

God [has] damn[ed] America?

And if He did, there would be a big difference (to those who understand simple English) between someone who said that He had and someone who asks Him to because He hasn’t!

Tired from spinning yet, boob?

Did McCain spend a year wooing this idiot for his endorsement?

In his 2000, what was McCain’s position on the religious right and/or it’s so called leaders?

Are there any quotes or videos from his 2000 campaign readily accessible the internets?

Has his position changed for his 2008 campaign?

pp, not really.

If Kerry will be remembered for flip flopping what will McCain be remembered for?

The Wright brouhaha should fade when a dem candidate is chosen and real issues are discussed. Unless the right can’t find an exit on their own glass bottom swift boat.
