Republicans For Obama: Congressional Page Appreciator Mark Foley Endorses The One

Yes. That Mark Foley.
Since leaving Congress in disgrace, Mark Foley has enjoyed watching his successor Democrat Tim Mahoney struggle with sex scandals of his own. Oh, and he’s supporting Obama for President.

What they both said was how great Foley looked, and he was particularly excited about Colin Powell’s endorsement that morning of Obama. Foley said he also favors Obama.
And Foley also expressed some pleasure in watching the latest developments from his old Florida district: His successor, Democrat Tim Mahoney, is now in trouble for a series of extramarital affairs.

This brings up an interesting point. Republicans lost power in 2006, yet a lot of these Republicans who got voted out of office (like Foley and Lincoln Chaffee) are coming out in favor of the Democrat candidate for President.
What does that tell us? Maybe that the batch of Republicans we had in office (many of whom are still in office but likely to lose out this year) were too liberal for their own good? And that the GOP isn’t going to get back into power until they quit putting people like Chaffee and Foley in office?
I think that’s the logical conclusion.

Need to update this, Foley has released a statement saying that he has not and does not endorse Barri.

And lets review, Foley talked to gay Congressional pages, his replacement has multiple, ongoing, illegal sexual relations with employees. How is Foley the bad guy here?

Rush said today that Mark Foley didn’t support Obama.

Right. Foley was voted out because he was too liberal, not because he diddled those pages’ shpedoinkles.

Actually, Foley just wrot ethis to Drudge:
FOLEY: ‘An online article posted today on Variety’s website innaccurately reported that I was supporting Barack Obama. The story on Variety’s website, based on a second or third-hand account of my private conversation, is incorrect. I have already voted by absentee ballot in Florida. Although I didn’t vote for Senator Obama, I intend to keep my choice private.’

How do you know Foley’s NOT a Democrat? He’s no longer in office, based on the whiff of a scam (never mind that he was exonerated and the greatest error he was accused of was returning some risque emails to some (NOTE: NOT underage) pages) A Democrat? He would a) Insist he didn’t do anything wrong, despite armloads of evidence b) tries to reframe the sin into something palatable to liberals (which is pretty much Anything except being a R) c) enlists a battery of legal antics to avert, delay, block and obfuscate until the bitter end and d) remains defiantly in office despite Peoloski’s “most ethical congress ever!”
(I’m thinking WIlliam Jefferson D-La caught acceptng a 100K bribe on tape and 90K found in freezer, or Sanfdy Berger stuffing docs down his pants from Lib of Congress, Barney Franks running a male prostitution ring from his house, etcetcetc)

Yeah, they excoriated Foley for playing pattycake with the little boy interns, no sex. Then you have this upstanding family man who comes in with this morality-family first platform. Unfortunately he is screwing his assistant while he is campaigning. She only decided to blow the whistle on him because she found out he had at least one more babe on the side. Boy, I sure am glad the media is giving him what he deserves now!

If I was Obama, I wouldn’t want Foley’s support. Maybe his vote, though.
However, these so called Republicans in support of a man with the most Liberal voting record in History, a man who clearly desires to lead America into Socialism
These people either have an Ax to grind with the Republican party, or have been Closet Liberals All Along.
In Uncle Colin’s case, I think it’s Both..

    The gift that keeps giving.

Actually, I don’t think Foley technically diddled anyone.

But I do find it interesting that all these supposedly conservative Republicans have endorsed Obama once they were out of office.

Illustrates perfectly the reason why the GOP isn’t in majorities any more.
