Republican Joe Walsh: Media Will Protect Obama In 2012 Because He’s Black
“They are so vested in our first black president not being a failure that it’s going to be amazing to watch the lengths they go to protect him,” says Rep. Joe Walsh in an interview with the Media Research Council’s Brent Bozell.
Think Progress makes the de rigueur racist accusation, but I’m not sure I agree 100% with Rep. Joe Walsh’s comments. I think there’s an element of the media wanting to protect the first place President, to go along with all the people who voted for Obama in 2008 just because he would be the first black president, but I think the media is going to carry Obama’s water for him because he’s black and liberal.
Were Obama black and, say, a conservative (like a Herman Cain for instance) he’d get no such preferential, deferential treatment.
