A suspect has been arrested for plotting terror strikes on American shopping malls and the assassination of top US Government members.
Tarek Mehanna allegedly discussed carrying out random shootings in malls before turning guns on emergency service workers turning up to help at the scene.

Mehanna, of Sudbury, Boston, Massachusetts, is also accused of distributing videos of dead American soldiers being abused and mutilated in Iraq.

Civilians would be targeted in America because they were “taxpayers” and “non-believers”, said Michael K Loucks, acting US Attorney.

At a press conference this afternoon Loucks told how Mehanna planned to kill at random using automatic weapons.

His cohorts would block exits to the malls and then turn their weapons on paramedics and police arriving to help, the law chief said.
