Rep. Paul Ryan: When You Take Away The Smoke And Mirrors Obamacare Adds To The Deficit
In their “everything but the kitchen sink” approach to opposing the repeal of Obamacare, Democrats are claiming that repeal would increase the deficit. Of course, they base these claims on their own manipulation of the Congressional Budget Office which suggested that Obamacare would reduce the deficit in the first place.
Yesterday, during floor debate over the Republican-proposed repeal of Obamacare, Rep. Paul Ryan eviscerated their argument:
Will poll numbers showing widespread opposition to Obamacare, and widespread support for its repeal, holding steady it’s hard to believe that these ridiculous assertions about the legislation’s financing are being taken by much of anyone. Outside of the most blinkered of left-wing partisans, of course.
