Remember When The New York Times Criticized Obama For Bowing To A King?

Of course you didn’t, because it didn’t happen, but the Times certainly criticized Clinton for almost bowing to Japanese Emperor Akihito in 1994:

It wasn’t a bow, exactly. But Mr. Clinton came close. He inclined his head and shoulders forward, he pressed his hands together. It lasted no longer than a snapshot, but the image on the South Lawn was indelible: an obsequent President, and the Emperor of Japan.
Canadians still bow to England’s Queen; so do Australians. Americans shake hands. If not to stand eye-to-eye with royalty, what else were 1776 and all that about? …
Guests invited to a white-tie state dinner at the White House (a Clinton Administration first) were instructed to address the Emperor as “Your Majesty,” not “Your Highness” or, worse, “King.” And in what one Administration aide called “some emperor thing,” an Army general was cautioned that he should not address the Emperor Akihito at all as he escorted him to the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery.
But the “thou need not bow” commandment from the State Department’s protocol office maintained a constancy of more than 200 years. Administration officials scurried to insist that the eager-to-please President had not really done the unthinkable.

If anything this illustrates just how in the tank for Obama the media really is. They loved Bill Clinton, and spun and covered for him endlessly, but they love Obama even more. With Clinton, they were at least willing to create the semblance of objectivity and criticism.

Robert108, I know it isn’t just a personal choice. Personally, everyone has this God-given, freewill choice to make. This is in contrast to the teaching of Islam where no choice is given. According to their Quran, people must submit to their religion or else. As a leader, Obamanation’s public demonstration of his personal choice is adversely affecting a lot of people (especially oppressed women). We have already seen our freedoms thrown out the window in Obama-controlled sweeps and I’m sure if the bow was THE bow, then we’ll see an end entirely to any freedom we’ve known in our country, except of course the freedom from slavery-to-sin and the penalty-of-sin that the Lord alone gives and that know one can take away.

Thousands of years ago, God said this deception would be world wide, falsely in the name of peace, anti-Semitic, and ultimately extremely violent and crushing. Indeed it is right on track.

The old saying that one picture is worth a thousand words is actually amplified when it comes to cross-cultural communication. I have little doubt that the Muslim world’s media will not be as circumspect as their American mainstream colleagues in displaying the demi-prostration of the American leader carrying the name Hussein to the guardian of Islam’s holiest cities.

Until evidence is produced that Barack Obama habitually bows and bends his knee before others, I will have to assume that he meant this gesture to carry meaning. It is simply amazing to me that our media will not even present this image to the American public.

Holding hands is acceptable ethnic tradition in Arabic culture between two men in leadership position.

American presidents bow to no man. Obama shamed the office, the nation, and himself. Obama displayed subservient body language reserved for slaves in Arabic culture.

Apparently Barry O isn’t aware that the Dept. of State has a protocol office. Obama hasn’t yet appointed a chief of protocol and his staffers do not realize that the State Department has an entire office dedicated to foreign visits. Someone should of “taught” the messiah the proper protocol before makes a fool of himself (and us) AGAIN.

We live in a time of grace and freewill. I agree that his bowing carried as much meaning as his public slighting of the west with disrespectful gift giving (not that the recipients deserve any recognition of courage or right-doing in similarly selling out their people and freedom for a very temporary system of global economy/government/religion). This is un-American and an intentional offense to our Biblical foundation. Yet everyone, including the president, has a freewill to accept or reject the ways of the Lord, namely freedom founded in truth. Unfortunately, Obamanation’s rejection and anti-Biblical about-face path for our nation adversely affects many people. Both Obamanation and King-Everyone-Beat-Your-Wives, will one day bow the knee to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Unfortunately, the Jews will suffer the most under this “New World Order” as Gordon Brown proudly called it thousands of years after God wrote it as a warning of apostasy. The main reason the leftist papers are going broke is that leftists never bought them in the first place. Welfare cases like Dino can’t raise the 75 cents any day but the day after their welfare checks come in.
