Remember: A Vote To More The Health Care Bill Forward Is A Vote For Government Health Care

Over the weekend the Democrats will be forcing a vote to begin debate of the health care bill in the Senate. This is a procedural vote, and if they get 60 votes the bill doesn’t necessarily pass. It must also clear a 60 vote cloture vote to end debate and then a final simple majority vote to pass.
That being said, any vote to advance this bill is a vote for government health care. We don’t want this bill. There’s nothing that can be changed about it that would make it a better bill. The bill forces us only to buy health care from among government-approved health care plans through a government-run health care exchange.
That’s government health care, and it’s unacceptable. North Dakotans, contact your Senators using the information below. Everyone else, call the Congressional switchboard at (202)224-3121.

Well I’ll be damned! A trillion dollar health care bill that will not only pay for itself, but have a ‘neutral deficit ratio’. Even Social Sercutiy problems can be solved by not paying out any benefits until the age of 75! Now ya know that ain’t gonna happen. But with holding medical services to prove nothing more than that the DNC and Obama, and Pelosi and Reid are correct, now that’s a given.

Whether it will pass is still an open question. But nobody who is even modestly knowledgeable thinks of this stuff as “reform.”

Certainly Dr. Jeffrey S. Flier, Dean of Harvard Medical School is under no such silly illusions. (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704431804574539581994054014.html)

“The bill forces us only to buy health care from among government-approved health care plans through a government-run health care exchange.”

Geez, this is so ignorant, I don’t know where to begin. Even now, insurance must be “government approved” — have you checked with your state insurance commissioner recently? Big deal. What this will do is remove lots of bad insurance company activities — making people unable to get insurance because of a pre-existing condition, for example. You’ll keep the same private insurance you’re getting now, but without those defects, and people who have no insurance will get access to it. Looks like conservatives will “Say Anything” to defeat an important improvement in Americans’ lives. Too bad so much of what they say are lies.

we’ll see future modifications that take us closer and closer to our goals.

    Soylent Pink is Dino?

  • sayanything-2804

It will suck to be you Dino, I heard you will only get to go in for your PAP smear once every two years.

  • sayanything-4416

No, it will suck to be a conservative as it already does. Your revolution is over, your teabagging movement is being torn apart by in-fighting, your party has no leaders and your popularity is at an all-time low.

But if you need health care, we’ll make sure you get it after we pass reform.

Once again, conservatives will be on the wrong side of history.

  • sayanything-4416

Yes, it has been watered down thanks to the obstructionists but once we get that camels’ nose even further under that tent we’ll see future modifications that take us closer and closer to our goals.

The momentum is ours. As always, conservatism will lose.

  • sayanything-4416

It will pass. We’ll see reform soon.
