Recent Jeremiah Wright Speech Was Organized By Hillary Clinton Supporter

And the plot thickens.

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright couldn’t have done more damage to Barack Obama’s campaign if he had tried. And you have to wonder if that’s just what one friend of Wright wanted.

Shortly before he rose to deliver his rambling, angry, sarcastic remarks at the National Press Club Monday, Wright sat next to, and chatted with, Barbara Reynolds.

A former editorial board member at USA Today, she runs something called Reynolds News Services and teaches ministry at the Howard University School of Divinity. (She is an ordained minister).

It also turns out that Reynolds - introduced Monday as a member of the National Press Club “who organized” the event - is an enthusiastic Hillary Clinton supporter.

On a blog linked to her Web site- http://www.reynoldsnews.com- Reynolds said in a February post: “My vote for Hillary in the Maryland primary was my way of saying thank you” to Clinton and her husband for the successes of Bill Clinton’s presidency.

The same post criticized Obama’s “Audacity of Hope” theme: “Hope by definition is not based on facts,” wrote Reynolds. It is an emotional expectation. Things hoped for may or may not come. But help based on experience trumps hope every time.”

Really, though, why does this matter?  So a Clinton surrogate is helping to put Wright out front and center.  The Clintons still didn’t make Wright who he is, and they certainly didn’t make Barack Obama go to Wright’s church for twenty years, choose Wright to marry him and his wife, get his children baptized by Wright, take the title of one of Wright’s sermons as his campaign theme or even describe Wright as his “mentor” and “sounding board.”

That was all Obama’s doing.  That Wright is now terribly inconvenient for Obama’s campaign is Obama’s own fault.  You lay down with dogs, you get up with fleas.

Good point.  Democrats typically organize events for democrats.  Imagine that?

With your own statement, you have suggested why this post on the “issue”, doesn’t matter.

Democrats typically organize events for democrats.

So, you’re admitting that the National Press Club is an organ of the Democratic Party?
Or are you merely pulling crap out of your ass as usual?

Those who think the party or the country, will be “taught a lesson” by handing the levers of power over to the liberals will learn a lesson, but it will be at the expense of our country and her liberties. And there are no guarantees that the party or the country will come out stronger, more conservative or better positioned to win elections against the incumbent liberals.

Did you land of your feet when you jumped to that conclusion on your own?

I am stating that there is typically no harm intended when a democrat organizes an event for another Democrat.

Example:  My fellow democrat organized an event for Chelsea Clinton...even though he was an Obama supporter.  I attended and met her and had a fun talk even though I am voting for Obama.

The malice that Rob is implying is most likely the end result of someone who typically fails to understand the poison of projection.

The fact that the NPC is a collective body of different part members doesn’t necessarily mean the audience is going to balanced at each event.  Much as on colleges across the country that host political speakers from a particular party doesnt mean those audience members are going to be a balanced audience of various political parties.

The latter was all you had to say!

There’s a “report” going around that says a staff member for Bill Moyers–I don’t recall her name or position–is responsible for Rev.Wright’s “speaking tour.” While all the evidence in the above article is anecdotal, the suspicion of Reynolds is understandable, but lacking.

Here’s what someone needs to ask someone in the offices of Bill Moyers. Did you or anyone on your staff or anyone associated with anyone on your staff think it a good idea and therefore proceed to set up these speaking events for Reverend Jeremiah Wright to soften his image and to give the media less incendiary sound bites to play? And was the thinking that if Wright could give a more softer, gentler speech with kinder, softer language the media would then use those sound bites instead of the harsh sound bites they’ve been using?

I wish somebody would ask that question.

I wish somebody would ask:

Did you or anyone on your staff get the bright idea to give Reverend Wright an opportunity to see what he is really like?  Why would you do this when we had a handful of sound bites that were damaging to Obama?  Why would you be interested in learning more about Wright, like we keep pretending we wan’t to know, so that we can arm ourselves with more ammunition against Obama.  Why would you ruin our ability to smear someone?

hannitzed and the Wrong Reverand have a lot in common: the more they speak the less the world at large thinks of them.

Y’all just carry on now, you hear?

Wright talks about bringing people together, Rodney talks about destroying a nation and its people along with it.

If you think your particular version of hate is any more important than Wrights hatred of hatred.....why don’t you elaborate on it instead of offering insignificant insults?

You don’t offend me Rodney.

Come on Hannitized, Wright is a race-baiter who hates whites and “negros” (his words) who don’t agree with him.

Does hatred talk bring people together?  Is Wright talking to bring people together or is he spreading hate?

A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.

Wait...why do I have fleas?

The war against illegal plunder has been fought since the beginning of the world. But how is… legal plunder to be identified? Quite simply. See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them, and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong. See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime. Then abolish this law without delay … If such a law is not abolished immediately it will spread, multiply and develop into a system.

Also, notice, children, to what lengths the troll will go to avoid discussion on the actual topic at hand! Misdirection, personal attacks and spasms of mental incompetence are all it’s got!

Maybe the troll was right that it was an event for Democrats! Here’s what Patterico has to say about it:

This man and his followers are racists as well as anti-American.  This entire philosophy of the “black whatever” is a separatist movement.  I thought some of this was going on with all-black dorms in colleges.  They are making no attempt to integrate, understand nor help the USA achieve its goals.  They have paid no dues and just want this and that for free.

What is wrong with the word negros?

Negro is a term referring to people of Black African ancestry. Prior to the shift in the lexicon of American and worldwide classification of race and ethnicity in the late 1960s, the appellation was accepted as a normal neutral formal term both by those of African descent as well as non-African blacks.

Only someone completely biased would find objection with the use of that word.  What is your deal?

Does hatred talk bring people together?  Is Wright talking to bring people together or is he spreading hate?

That is a good question.  Are you and your friends from this site trying to bring people together with your/their hateful speech that is stated on this site?

You can isolate a few statements as everyone is human and says hateful things at times.  I think that Wright goes of of his way to say very positive things about getting along.  He also happens to say some really stupid things.

What can I say....other than the truth?
