Rasmussen: McCain Now More Trusted Than Obama On Economy

This, if true, represents one hell of a turn of events:

After several weeks of John McCain’s campaign attacks on Barack Obama’s tax plan and idea of “spreading the wealth around”, the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds voters trust McCain more than Obama on taxes, 47% to 45%.
Two weeks ago, Obama had a one point-advantage on the issue of taxes and a month ago, he had a three-point edge. The last time McCain had the advantage on this issue was September 14, just before the collapse of Lehman Brothers started the meltdown on Wall Street.

If McCain wins on the economy he wins the election.

this is not time for anyone who don’t want Obama, to sit at home in protest it is not logical to do that .

This is great news. I really hope McCain can pull this off and I am actually getting more optimistic by the day.

Why would anyone trust Obama on the economy. He paid over $800K of his campaign’s money to ACORN and all he seems to have gotten for the money was hundreds of thousands of fraudelent registrations.

That’s a pretty crappy return for an $800K investment. (unless the Left wants to admit The One wanted fraudulent voter registrations)

He’s so embarassed by that he denied ever doing it and even has Joe Biden lying about it to cover it up. His leadership and judgnemt abilities are showing through. They aren’t pretty.

    What’s left?

Voter Fraud. Why do you think Obama paid so much to Acorn to commit so much fraud?

If he’s more trusted on the economy and the war, what’s left?

  • Wing Chun Geologist

    that may be true, but…

Obama is more trusted by welfare recipiants (99.9% to 0.1%) on the subject of taking money from people who earn it and giving it to people who stay home all day and watch TV.

Kenny: I believe Rob understands that my comment on holding simultaneously contradictory positions is not an insult. Nor is he the only one on SAB who does so.

Rob is essentially analytical, rather than emotional.

The collective expectation of investors about a company’s future profits, dividends and appreciation, and the market as a whole is dependent on confidence. The drivers of the economy have no confidence in OBAMA!!! The market’s bearish behavior over the last couple of months pretty closely tracks Barack Obama’s gains in the polls.

The market is unhappy with OBAMA. It’s not going to wait eight years before the numbers reflect it. If Wall Street really anticipated good times under Mr. Obama, the market would have gained 40% in anticipation of the transition. By losing that much, it seems to be saying the opposite.

    NOBAMA

Sometimes the cognitive dissonance on SAB is breathtaking.

Because, at this point, insulting Rob is soooo likely to change his opinion?

I have an acquaintance that runs a second generation family owned pizza business. He and his father turned a small pizza restaurant into a local chain with four locations and dozens of employees. His father came to America from Sicily with barely enough money to buy a dozen pizzas at today’s inflated prices and deflated dollar value. Due to hard work and customer satisfaction he’s done well. He is living his father’s “American Dream.” And now Obama wants to punish him and eventually his employees, the ones he will probably have to lay off to pay the BO TAX against success.

    What happened to America?

  • itskbs

I certainly hope that this holds true!! This country is in for a huge downward spiral if Obama wins. America may want a change, but Snobama would be a huge mistake.

  • robert108

True that! Investors are just hiding from the tax man(Obama).
