Racist News Only Mentions Suspects Race/Religion If They Are Nordic/Christian
We find this example in the Grand Forks Herald of all places:
The suspect in police custody — a blonde blue-eyed Norwegian with reported Christian fundamentalist, anti-Muslim views —
Now I’ll come out and say that this information is perfectly legitimate to understand the horrific crime he induced. How does a society eliminate crimes like this if there is no understanding of why this crime was committed.
But if that’s the case then we should understand what drives the terror activities in our country. Maybe if we could admit why it happens here our children and grandmothers’ wouldn’t be felt up by agents of the US government that are protecting us from them.
So when the news media identifies the hair and eye color of the suspect in the Norwegian bombing but suppresses the ties to radical Islam by the Fort Hood shooter we have a good idea of what kind of job the media is doing.
On a related note I find it strange that President Obama was so quick to express sorrow in the Norway tragedy but barely acknowledged the Fort Hood shooting to be a good lesson as well.
