The rate of teen childbearing in the United States has fallen steeply since the late 1950s, from an all time high of 96 births per 1,000 women aged 15-19 in 1957 to an all time low of 49 in 2000 (see chart below). Birthrates fell steadily throughout the 1960s and 1970s; they were fairly steady in the early 1980s and then rose sharply between 1988 and 1991 before declining throughout the 1990s. In recent years, this downward trend has occurred among teens of all ages and races.

Once the bonds of society were so weakened at the molecular level, it would be far more easily taken over, perhaps even obviating the need for an open war.

The Russian word for this overall strategy, odd-sounding in its English translation, is Psycho-Politics.

By these means the patriotism of youth for their Capitalistic flag can be dulled to a point where they are no longer dangerous as soldiers. While this might require many decades to effect, Capitalisms short term view will never envision the lengths across which we can plan.

If we could effectively kill the national pride and patriotism of just one generation, we will have won that country. Therefore, there must be continual propaganda abroad to undermine the loyalty of the citizens in general and the teen-ager in particular.

The role of the psychopolitical operator in this is very strong. He can, from his position as an authority on the mind, advise all manner of destructive measures. He can teach the lack of control of this child at home. He can instruct, in an optimum situation, the entire nation in how to handle children — and instruct them so that the children, given no control, given no real home, can run wildly about with no responsibility for their nation or themselves.

I don’t know if they included divorced families as well. It seems to me that can go a couple ways. If the dad stays involved it’s probably (but I don’t know) better than being completely missing.

Single mom familys … it’s quite simple actually. Some would call it a form a speciation what is going on.

This is the babies being BORN, not being pregnant with one. Being pregnant doesn’t mean you give birth, in this day and age.

That’s usually because they kill them before they are born, that could attribute to the low birthrate.

Well it made a majority of women into hateful, spoiled children. Also, with Women’s Studies it continues that by making them into bitter, angry harridans as well. These are young women that are just going out into the world.

Abortion. Birthrates rise and fall as a result of changes in the rate at which women become pregnant or resolve their pregnancies in abortion, or a combination of both. Among teens in the United States, at least in recent years, declining birthrates are not the result of more pregnant teens opting to have an abortion. The U.S. teen abortion rate, after rising through the 1970s and holding fairly constant during the 1980s, then began a steady decline. By 1997, the rate was 28 abortions per 1,000 women 15-19–33% lower than the rate a decade earlier.
Pregnancy. Recent declines in teen birthrates, then, are attributable to reductions in pregnancy rates. In the 1970s and early 1980s, the U.S. teen pregnancy rates rose. They remained steady through the 1980s, even as sexual activity among teens increased, due to improved contraceptive use among those teenagers who are sexually active. The rates declined 19% from 117 pregnancies per 1,000 women aged 15-19 in 1990 to 93 per 1,000 in 1997–the lowest rate in 20 years. The recent decline is particularly encouraging, because–as with the teen birthrate decline–all population groups followed a similar pattern, regardless of young women’s age, marital status, race or ethnicity.

I remember back in the 90′s a lot more young people also made the decision to abstain from premarital sex. So, that could be a factor as well. However, it seemed to be a craze during the 70′s and 80′s. Plus the technology of birth control has improved as I remember the original pill contained a whopping amount more of estrogen/progesterone than today’s common birth control.

I agree that the absence of a traditional family can lead to problems. I have some questions though.
Do these studies include divorced parents?
A child can be fatherless due to divorce.
Do the same conditions apply in these cases?
We all know that the divorce rate is high.
