If that doesn’t work then repeat and repeat again.
At least it’s good for boosting these self-proclaimed experts opinions of themselves.

It is with great pleasure that I read about your feigned outrage over economic development. The legislators whom you support on a regular basis are the same ones who for years pushed every ‘economic development’ giveaway piece of legislation that they could think of. From TIFs to land giveaways, to refunds of employee withholding tax to equipment your friends, the republicans supported every piece of legislation.

With a nary one bit of accountability attached those bills. And to top it off, your republican friends killed every piece of legislation that was put forward by the Democrats to bring some kind of accountability to the madness of economic development.

Only when they were faced with the debacle of some economic development projects funded under their programs then and only then did the republicans steal the democrats bills, put their names on them and passed them, watered down tho they were.

So please, I find it hard to take you seriously when you and others now come to the table whining about economic development in ND. The horse is already out of the barn, and it’s a bit late to close the door.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Whistler and Rob!

By the very limited information your provide I’d support those bills. However I did next to no bill tracking during the 2005 session (or before) myself.

On the other hand I now expect you to point out where we’ve gone out of our way to support state Republicans in the last couple years.

They are big time screw ups.

We (I assume Rob would agree) support conservative ideas NOT Republican politicians.

In fact NO media outlet in the state has been as harsh as critics of the garbage coming out the state legislature (lead by Republican) in the last two years.

I am shocked that you guys are not going to watch this marvel of marketing called Britney Spears. Don’t forget during her heyday she was marketed as a virgin.

Letting people keep more of their money is hardly the same as what I’m talking about.

I’m not surprised the freeloaders don’t understand.

hich legislators would those be? Can you cite specific examples, or are you just looking to obfuscate here…

how about lawmakers like your minilib Hovey? The BIg Three we send to DC are no different. most of the libricans here in fargo are all for it as well (Berg is a fine example of taking credit for big wins like alien tech then quickly running from their failure)

    Just for you Rob:
1999: HB 1439: killed by the Rs
2001 HB 1403, called for Economic development tracking and information, killed by the Rs.
2003: HB 1417: Job quality and accountability standards, killed by the Republicans
2005: HB 1203 Watered down version of accountability introduced by the republicans
2005: HB 1424: strong Accountability and job quality standards killed by the republicans.

Since you were at the legislature recently, I will assume you can check the voting records and see who voted to kill these bills and they were indeed the folks you support, Rob.

As for hypocrisy, I think that any honest observer would agree that neither Whistler nor myself hold any truck with John Hoeven or his economic philosophy.

how about lawmakers like your minilib Hovey?

I was asking for examples of big-government Republicans i’ve supported.

I don’t think anyone could confuse me with a John Hoeven supporter.
