Protesters Not Happy About Plan To Put Them In Cages At Democrat Convention

The plan right now is for those protesting the Democrat convention to be herded into pre-designated, wire-surrounded areas where nobody will see them.

City officials on Monday released additional details of an area for protesters during the convection, but an attorney for protest groups says they won’t be near delegates at the Pepsi Center.

City officials say the viewing area will be encircled by wire mesh and it will not be enclosed at the top. The area will use 50,000-square foot zone within a 350,000-square foot parking lot next to the Pepsi Center, the site of the convention.

It won’t be enclosed at the top?

Well.  That was big of them.

I’m gonna go ahead and dub these “free speech cages.” As in snooty Democrats saying “We sure like it when you hippies vote for us, but we’d just as soon you stay in your free speech cages so we don’t have to hear you or smell you while you wave around your Che flags and chant about Bush killing babies.”

In St Paul, police are refusing to use cages.  Despite protestors openly saying their plan is to disrupt and bring the convention to a halt.  Mayors of St Paul and Minneapolis are both hopeless Democrats.  One can’t lead his way out of a paperbag, the other is all caught up in parading around in his City provided Prius.

This is no surprise.  The democrats did the same thing at their 2004 national convention in Boston.

There is nothing as intolerant and closed minded than a tolerant and open minded liberal.

Isn’t this the same thing the liberals are accuse
Bush of doing to his detractors? What is good for the goose is not necessarily good for the gander.

To paraphrase:  “Hell hath no fury like a pacifist”.

Speaking of Che shirts, just why is it that every single one of these folks who claim their liberties are being imposed upon or dehied are also so darn quick to embrace every tyrant and marxist who ever libed?  Che, Mai, Stalin, Gugo.... everyone of those is embraced as a modern saint yet they have the bloodiest hands of anyone in history?

Talk about a mixed message.......

Maybe they are worried that people will remember what debonaire, young African-American politicos are supposed to look like.

...or they’re worried people will remember what the Chicago 8 did.

Interesting photo.  It serves as a reminder that this history of “gun control” in this country, which the left is so fond of, is the history of racism.

A prime example is how it was perfectly legal in California to walk around with a rifle or shotgun in public, until the Black Panthers started doing it.
