The Protest Warriors are in New York and are mixing things up with the "peace" protesters. Davids Medienkritik has some photos of a Protest Warrior event in New York that had to be broken up by the police when those peace-loving, anti-war protesters showed up.

Back at Protest Warrior HQ in New York the ACLU was fighting for the cause of free speech.

Meanwhile, back at the HQ yesterday, a goon squad of ACLU "blue hats" showed up and called the police because we had some signs outside against the building in case late comers arrived, along with maps. You should have seen these ACLU guys go nuts! They also just happened to have a full blown video camera and camera man along with them. So, these five cop cars come screaming up and about 15-20 cops come out. I went down to see what was up. I explained to the cops that I was manning the HQ while the PW"S were out at the march and that these were our signs. The ACLU guys were talking to another set of cops telling them that the PW"S needed to be charged because of the "inflamatory signs". I told the cops that if the signs were a problem I could bring them inside. The ACLU guys wouldn't allow it as they said that the signs were now legally "abandoned property" and that the city had to remove them from the street. I was told I wasn't allowed to touch the signs.

Good thing we have the ACLU around to tell us what type of free speech should and should not be allowed.

First, no one was seriously injured but several were badly roughed up and had to limp back to HQ.

We had communications problems at the HQ and so I'm so sorry I wasn't able to post during Sunday. Basically though, we are so well known now that the crazies were on the lookout for our guys and as soon as they saw us became physically aggressive. I really don't blame the NYPD for pulling most of the PW's out of the march because it was heading toward bloody...

Who knew "peace" protesters could be so violent?
