Presidential Jobs Summit in Six Words

President Obama can cancel his jobs summit for later this week. I can sum up what he needs to do in six words:
Lower taxes.
Drill here,
Drill now.
Any questions?

What can I say? I’m generous with my advice!

Not the end all be all to our energy woes, but think of all the high paying construction jobs that would open up if we opened up domestic fields and shorelines to drilling?

I didn’t say it was a comprehensive energy policy, I said it was a way to create jobs.

Lowering taxes would be incentive to thousands of employers to expand non-construction and non-energy related business to expand and need to hire.

Thanks to government schools, too many people are unable to produce any more value to their employer than what it costs to employ them.

The book “Gusher of Lies” by Robert Bryce details why the idea of “energy independence” is a dangerous myth.

    “Quit dicking around”

I cut it in half, but something tells me mine won’t make headlines…

I’m all behind lower taxes, and I am behind drill-here drill-now as one part of a much larger machine, but it’s not the end-all-be-all solution to our energy woes. By average analysis, the US has about three percent of the world’s accessable oil supply, and while gaining access to that is good, it’s far from what I’d consider “energy dependency”, especially considering that the end result wouldn’t be a US stockpiled oil reserve, but US oil being pushed into the global market, and fluctuating quantity demanded there.

Drill here, drill now’s a great sloagan, not quite a comprehensive energy security policy.
