Predictable: Liberals Heaping Scorn, Derision On Tax Day Tea Parties

Get the scoop on the North Dakota tea parties here.
As tax day looms, and America readies for the tea parties scheduled to be held that day, the liberal left is reacting about as you might expect them to. They’re claiming that the parties are a “sham and a fraud.”
The Atlantic’s Chris Good is shocked to learn that there are some conservative activists helping to organize the events. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews called them “anti-government” rallies. And CNN/The Washington Post’s Howard Kurtz mocked Fox News for devoting coverage to the events.

Frankly, given how often Fox News dominates CNN and the rest of cable news in ratings, perhaps Kurtz and the rest of the liberal media shouldn’t be casting stones at Fox’s coverage choices. And besides, if Fox didn’t cover the tea party rallies, who would?
But what’s funny is that I don’t remember this level of suspicion and derision lumped upon the anti-war rallies of the last several years? (Rallies largely organized by propped-up front groups for some communist/socialist groups most Americans would find extremely objectionable.) I don’t remember anyone in the media questioning the validity of the illegal immigrant protests from the last few years. Or the gay protests. Or the “million man march” protests.
It seems as though the only time a protest movement is worthy of scorn and derision is when it’s a conservative cause and not a liberal cause.
Also, in the video above Kurtz suggests that the Fox News personalities who have taken to covering the tea parties have all been coordinated by some sort of Rupert Murdoch-controlled conservative cabal (because the idea that Fox might be covering these popular rallies for fame and profit just wouldn’t make sense to the dying liberal media, I guess) and yet over the last several day the liberal response to the tea parties has developed among a whole spectrum of liberal media outlets surprisingly quickly. It’s almost like the response to the tea parties has been coordinated.
Or maybe it’s not coordinated. Maybe all these liberals in the media are just shocked to see a nationwide protest of people who aren’t playing victims and who aren’t asking for anything from the government but just want to be left alone.
Frankly, I think they’re afraid more than anything else.

No, “Jack” it is you and Obama who are lying. His record destruction of American wealth, combined with his record debt and continued obstruction of domestic energy development will cripple our economy, resulting not only in higher taxes, but lower wages and earnings, as well.
His economic insanity has been tried many times, and has always failed miserably.

As for Fox, coverage of the nationwide “Tea Parties” can hardly be considered a grab for ratings, considering that there isn’t another cable news outlet that even comes close to Fox in ratings. What those on the Left simply cannot understand is that Fox’s ratings leadership is specifically BECAUSE Fox News doesn’t subscribe to the “me too” mantra of the liberal, mainstream media. By covering things that the politically correct leftwing media chooses to ignore, Fox has become the King of the Hill.

One thing I’d like to point out is the crowds of these tea parties all across America. Notice what you see and what you don’t see.

    What you don’t see:
    1. Upside American flags with rude things written on them.
    2. Obama effigies hanging from a rope.
    3. People dressed up in Obama monkey suits.
    4. “Death to America” signs.
    5. Chants against America and/or chants proclaiming America is evil.

    What you do see:
    1. Proclamations of love for America.
    2. Polite and well written signs with clear messages against big government.
    3. Patriotic songs.

Night and day compared to the “anti-war” protests.

  • http://suitepotato.blogspot.com/ sayanything-4808

The entire media pretty much HAS hosted the anti-war and other leftist rallies by giving them overwhelming coverage with positive phrasing used throughout. Their phrasing in the sparse coverage of the conservative rallies is overwhelmingly negative. The MSM have pretty much bent over and parted the cheeks for the left and done so for decades now, and most Americans know it and resent it. In your deluded libtard world, you might not realize it, but it is in fact true.

The only people denying this are the left, the only ones doing it with a straight face are the fringe dirtbags like the trolls who infest this blog because they’re clinically insane, and the movers and shakers of the left can barely conceal smirks whenever faced with it. They love it, they know it, they work it every time, and because they self-righteously think of themselves as better, greater, smarter, wiser, more good and decent than everyone else, they think it their equivalent of divine right. Hence when Fox doesn’t let them get away with it they cry bloody murder.

Now they can suffer with Barack Obama, the first standalone complex president of any nation on Earth. Not affirmatively elected, but accidentally appointed to fulfill the position of Not Bush, created through the libtard obsession with personalizing their rage over the public’s rejection of them and their politics for decades. Now with Bush gone from sight and their short attention span, they are aiming the animosity of the populist rage that the left stoked for all those years on the guy now officially in charge.

Way to go morons. You just put a gigantic bullseye on the entire left and the American public is getting ready to fire their political salvos. Enjoy the aftermath of your arrogance.
