Popular Words

Ace o' Spades has been fooling around with some Lexis Nexis searches and has come up with a list of the top ten words or phrases currently being used by the media.

I don't think you'll be surprised to learn that the terms "abu," "ghraib," "abuse," and "Bush" are prominently and repeatedly featured.

One wonders why some other terms like "united," "nations," "sex," "scandal," and "corruption" weren't featured. Or perhaps "human rights violations."

You'd think that massive, wide-spread corruption in what is supposed to be the world's foremost organization promoting peace and human rights would make some major media waves. Judging from the coverage in the media however that just doesn't seem to be happening.
