Politico Journalist Caught Doctoring Fred Thompson Quote
Roger Simon of the Politico (not to be confused with Roger Simon of Pajamas Media) has been a rather forthright critic of Fred Thompson and his campaign since day one. Which is all well and good as Simon is certainly entitled to his opinion, and these days biased and one-sided “journalism” has become so common as to almost not be worth mentioning any more. But now Simon has been caught unambiguously doctoring a quote from Fred Thompson in order to make the candidate look foolish.
So far the Politico isn’t saying much about the matter, but it’s pretty clear to this observer that Simon owes a correction and an apology.
