Over at Rasmussen it’s a smörgåsbord of good news for conservatives! A sampling of some of the current polls:
57% Would Like to Replace Entire Congress
34% Say U.S. Heading in Right Direction
70% Prefer Government That Provides Fewer Services With Lower Taxes
Pelosi’s Unfavorables Now Up To 64%
Support for Health Care Legislation Has Stopped Falling, But Most Still Opposed
49% Say Workers Should Be Able To Opt Out of Social Security
49% Oppose Justice Department Probe of Bush-era CIA
60% Say Media Covers Obama’s Personal Life Too Much
All of which taken together should mean this next one is no surprise:
Republicans Maintain Steady Lead on Generic Ballot

    Only 57% want the entire Congress booted?

    I’d have guessed, while the Dems keep hitting themselves in the face with their own hammers and are now stumbling about wondering where all the pain is coming from, that it would have been a higher percentage than that.

    Still – satisfying number, isn’t it?

    Most of these people will vote for their own congressman though. Meaningless stat.

    Up 7% from when Obama took over.

    70% Prefer Government That Provides Fewer Services With Lower Taxes

    Generic question. Meaningless until you find out what services they will get rid of. Might as well ask, “Do you want lower taxes?”

    Pelosi’s Unfavorables Now Up To 64%

    Not in her district, so it doesn’t matter.

    49% Say Workers Should Be Able To Opt Out of Social Security

    Less than half. Include retirees and see what they say.

    49% Oppose Justice Department Probe of Bush-era CIA

    But 58% believe we tortured.

    60% Say Media Covers Obama’s Personal Life Too Much

    So?

    Republicans Maintain Steady Lead on Generic Ballot

    Yawn, there are no generic ballots.

    The most important stat for the next congressional election is this. 2/3 of the Senators up for re-election are Senators, 1/3 Democrats. And the Republicans are retiring. Democrats are likely to pick up seats.
