This is a crock of shit! I have a couple of friends who have been over in Iraq and Afghanistan and I can’t imagine this happening. I know there might be exceptions to the rule but from my experience veterans are the most respectable and respectful people I have ever been around.

I know so many veterans going all the way back to WWII. Yes, there are a few who due to things they endured in war came back with “issues”. Singling out veterans is disingenuous. Many of them have problems respecting women in authority positions, but many other students besides veterans behave like that.

I teach logic to undergraduates and you’d be surprised at how many of them shirk all the assignments, but when it comes time to argue about their crappy grade, they have closely studied the syllabus and the disclosed grading schedule… and display some of the logical skills I have been trying to teach in an effort to avoid being taught and still getting a good grade. Amazingly frustrating.

I then offer them make-up work and generally flunk them because make-up work in logic can only be done if you have been paying attention throughout the course of the semester.
