If we don’t move now to enact an energy policy that includes more oil and gas production from domestic sources, including ANWR and the federal OCS, we may look back someday and realize that we failed to perceive a critical crossroad in the history of this nation. I don’t think it’s overly dramatic to say that this nation’s future and the quality of life for every American are dependent on the decisions you make or don’t make in the next few months.

I don’t know… I have a difficult time getting excited over this information. I get the feeling that they’re just trying to cover for walking away from the issue earlier. As of right now they look bad and may say anything to win people back.

Anna I don’t trust Pelosi there is a double cross here. They dems think they can stall until they think they are going to get major gains in seat, which may not happen for them. The GOP must stand strong and not compromise. I am sure there some leftard pork in here.

Just think, if Pelosi would put all her brain power and personal skills together to solve the energy crisis that she used on her trip to the Middle East she could have all of us farting through silk and buying gasoline at a buck a gallon.

Proof: While McCain backed the unpopular and ultimately successful surge, his stance on offshore drilling is exactly the opposite.

But McCain wasn't preventing a vote in the House of Representatives, was he? No, that was Madame Pelosi, whose Iron Fist in the matter has apparently been broken (or at least dented a bit!) This is the first benchmark for a democratic government in Washington!
