Pelosi, Who Once Accused Health Care Protesters Of “Carrying Swastikas”, Worried About Angry Debate

Gee, Nancy, do you think the protesters might be angry because you’ve been comparing them to Nazis? For doing nothing other than expressing their displeasure with a policy you support?
Nancy apparently even got a little teary-eyed during her performance of faux-concern:

WASHINGTON – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that the anti-government rhetoric over President Barack Obama’s health care reform effort is concerning because it reminds her of the violent debate over gay rights that roiled San Francisco in the 1970s.
Anyone voicing hateful or violent rhetoric, she told reporters, must take responsibility for the results.
“I have concerns about some of the language that is being used because I saw this myself in the late ’70s in San Francisco,” Pelosi said, suddenly speaking quietly. “This kind of rhetoric was very frightening” and created a climate in which violence took place, she said.

What a bunch of baloney. Grandma Nancy is oh-so-frightened about elderly people giving their elected representatives what-for at town halls. She’s scared by tea party protesters marching on Washington. Of course, there have been a lot of marches on Washington.
Why, suddenly, are these protests and these marches scary and hateful and illegitimate? Why, because Rep. Pantsuit doesn’t agree with them.
And that’s how it works. Liberal dissent is noble and patriotic. Conservative dissent is angry and hateful and motivated by bigotry.
That’s the narrative the liberals and their mouthpieces in the media have agreed upon.

There is no comparison between Protesters of the 70′s and the the peaceful Tea Party’s. AND Nancy Pelosi needs to apologize to the US citizens who she has been demeaning!

ZZ: You are completely right! All of the protests by real Americans have been spontaneous, with very little organizing beyond simple coordination and publicity, whereas all leftie protests are highly organized and orchestrated.
In the Sixties and Seventies, they were organized by the commies who brainwashed Ayers and his ilk, being old line fellow travelers from the Forties and Fifties.
There has never been a grassroots leftie protest, for one simple reason: The vast majority of Americans are not left wing extremist radicals.
On the other hand, the rising up of the Silent Majority in response to liar Obama does not require “community organizers”.

It’s starting to look like after a “few thousand racists” descended upon D.C. the left side of Congress sees the writing on the wall. Shove their pet legislation up the countries wazoo and they lose their jobs. Which most of the time is no big deal, they’d just pick up a job at a lobbying firm and rake in those sweet tax dollars they’re so used to rolling around in. The only problem is that now there will be so many new applicants seeking those sweet lobbying jobs the market will be watered down thus paying less. God I love capitalism!
