Pelosi Is A Liar

Share |

You know what I just realized? Nancy Pelosi has just completed a major flip-flop on the issue of funding for the war in Iraq.
Back on January 18th Pelosi gave an interview to Diane Sawyer where she announced that she wouldn’t block funding for additional funds in Iraq. Now, however, Pelosi’s buddy Jack Murtha has proposed a “bleed it to death” policy for Iraq and Nancy is saying she’s supporting it.

The House approved a Democratic measure opposing the president’s troop boost, 246-182, Friday in a win that was less pronounced than had been previously expected for Democrats.
But the grinding of nearly 45 hours of debate was a sidebar all week to the news that Democratic leaders are expected to advance legislation putting restrictions on funding for the war.
Republicans worked hard to frame the debate as a prelude to the fight over the funding. But it was a Democrat – Rep. John Murtha of Pennsylvania – who stole the headlines from his own leaders and helped the White House corral potential defectors by offering a set of requirements for the money spent in Iraq.
The House vote sets up what promises to be a curious showdown over the question of whether Congress should restrict spending on the war.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., a close Murtha ally, told reporters Thursday that she backs his plan, but Republicans predict that the two Democrats might be too far ahead of their own members on this strategy.
“I think it will be much more divisive for them,” said House Minority Whip Roy Blunt, R-Mo., predicting they could lose a number of centrists.

Nice flip-flop, Nancy.

This is not another woman exercising her prerogative to change her mind. This is Nancy lied, our boys will die…

  2. proof_positive on February 17th, 2007 at 11:20 am

all women have a right to change their minds.

That’s the thing about leadership, ellinas…thinking through your position so you don’t have to change your mind or your position.

  3. Puzzlefeet on February 17th, 2007 at 12:22 am

Yikes, that guy has really bad teeth.

  4. 2Hotel9 on February 17th, 2007 at 1:22 am

    To say the least!

Unless they were a Republican, right?
    YOu’re a clown.
Rob on February 17, 2007 at 09:17 pm

Wrong again Rob. I would allow anyone a chance or two to change their mind, even a republican.
I wonder why you would say such a thing.

  7. HG on February 17th, 2007 at 4:57 am

No inconsistencies here. Just another woman changing her mind.

    Classic.

  8. Pilgrim on February 17th, 2007 at 1:18 am

Yikes, that guy has really bad teeth.

    And highly questionable personal hygiene.

On behalf of puzzle and my self: All women have a right to change their minds. Just ask that special anywoman of yours. No inconsistencies here. Just another woman changing her mind.

ask any woman including the most dear woman in your life and you will be told the truth. Changing one’s mind is not the same as indecisiveness and vacillation.
ellinas on February 17, 2007 at 05:34 pm

    Pure unadulterated BULLSHIT!!!!!

What qualifies as “indecisiveness”…changing your mind twice?

Besides, this not the fucking dating game where “most dear women’s” vacillations factor into the situation.

    Uh..I think I’ll pick bachelor number three..no wait a minute..bachelor number two..no wait number one….

    You are welcome Bat One.

I would allow anyone a chance or two to change their mind, even a republican.

    ellinas,

A Republican, being on/in the Right, would have little need to change his mind… though of course your gracious allowance for such, however unnecessary, would always be appreciated.

  13. ellinas on February 17th, 2007 at 9:34 am

Bat One I personaly don’t think you are a sexist neanderthal and would never call you one for making the above statement. But ask any woman including the most dear woman in your life and you will be told the truth. Changing one’s mind is not the same as indecisiveness and vacillation.

  14. ellinas on February 17th, 2007 at 12:11 pm

Not to mention sexist, given that your implication is that you wouldn’t allow men this same sort of variance of opinion.

Rob on February 17, 2007 at 07:13 pm

Wrong again Rob. I would allow anyone a chance or two to change their mind.

  15. Joel on February 17th, 2007 at 1:29 am

The House just completed voting, and has approved 246-182 the Democrats’ defeatist resolution. This was expected: but the good news is, the 40-60 Republican defectors that the Democrats had been predicting failed to materialize. Only seventeen Republicans voted for the resolution — and two Democrats broke ranks to vote against it.

Actually goon it’s cow crap. They don’t think, they know.

Furthermore all women have a right to change their minds. Just ask that special anywoman of yours. No inconsistencies here. Just another woman changing her mind.

  17. Bat One on February 17th, 2007 at 8:53 am

On behalf of puzzle and my self: All women have a right to change their minds.

    goon,

You know, of course, that if a man suggested that women are inconsistent and thus unqualified because of such congenital, emotionally-based indecisiveness and vacillation, that man would be castigated as a sexist neanderthal. More hypocrisy from the fem-bots on the left.

  18. Zsa Zsa on February 17th, 2007 at 3:54 am

Puzzle, I couldn’t agree with you more! Imagine his breath! Eeeeeeeeeeuooowah! I would bet that there is not a virgin in heaven that would accept that responsibility??? Yuck!

Bull crap, Pelosi lied to get her democratic friends elected and now they are changing their minds on their agenda. They are a caucus out of control already. They must think the American People are stupid.

The bestest part is Nanny gets to spit on troops without having to pucker up and secrete any saliva.

And Joel, that particular celebrant would be phoning in from Bakhtaran or possibly Qum. Don’t think he has been allowed to Tehran, they are most assuredly unhappy with him right now.

  21. Zsa Zsa on February 17th, 2007 at 3:56 am

Nancy should give him a big kiss…

  22. Neiman on February 16th, 2007 at 3:15 pm

I prefer to be a gentleman, but these two and those 17 Republicans and all the Democrats are nothing but disloyal scum sucking bottom dwellers.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to beat about the Bush!

  23. Joel on February 17th, 2007 at 12:02 am

Damned proud to be a fucking traitor!!

Look at how happy she is…..

    TORTURE

We need to use common sense. Ask yourself these questions.
    1. Would you allow your child to
    undergo his fingernails and
    eyeballs pulled or gouged out.
if it would save 100 americans
    lives. YES or NO

    2. Would you allow your child to
    undergo waterboarding to save
    100 americans.
    YES or NO

Regardless of how you answered, the point is
there is a big difference between those two techniqes
of acquiring information. And a reasonable person would at
at least think about answering yes on question 2, but a quick no on # 1

Ellinas, we’re not talking about something inconsequential like changing one’s mind on where the sofa should go, or deciding you’d like a room painted another color. We’re talking about war, and decisions that impact the lives of millions.

Writing this off as simply “a woman’s prerogative” is abysmally stupid. Not to mention sexist, given that your implication is that you wouldn’t allow men this same sort of variance of opinion.
