Pelosi: Democrats Trying To Save “Life On The Planet As We Know It” By Opposing Boehner Plan
I’m not exactly a fan of the Boehner plan, nor are a lot of conservatives in the House given how hard Speaker Boehner is having to work to whip up votes for his bill (the latest is that he’s delayed the vote), but the Democrat opposition is just getting silly.
The White House is saying that Republicans are trying to take Christmas away, now House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is saying that they’re trying to “save the world” by opposing the Boehner plan.
“What we’re trying to do is save the world from the Republican budget … We’re trying to save life on this planet as we know it today.”
Right. Because if we don’t clear the way for trillions of dollars in new deficit spending the world will end.
Republicans aren’t exactly covering themselves in glory right now, but Democrats are making themselves look downright silly.
