Peaceful Occupy Wall Street Protesters Toss Smoke Bombs At The White House

I remember when the tea partiers, that angry mob of conservative extremists, were throwing smoke bombs at the White House.

Oh, wait. That never happened.

An apparent smoke bomb was thrown over the fence of the White House as hundreds of Occupy protesters massed outside the gates.

The crowds were dispersed Tuesday night and the White House was all clear. U.S. Secret Service spokesman George Ogilvie says there were no arrests in the incident.

In related news, this protest which was billed as a national gathering of the Occupy faithful, didn’t attract nearly the number of marchers as they were intending:

Organizers had touted the rally, known as Occupy Congress, as the largest national gathering of Occupy protesters to date and secured a permit that would have allowed up to 10,000 people to participate. By mid-afternoon, the protest appeared to have fallen far short of those goals.

No wonder Nancy Pelosi is distancing herself and her fellow Democrats from the movement.

        now you may be speaking about the rank and file…may be true, then your leaders are out of control…so, were dems supportive of OWS, or were your leaders going rogue? (binary question, only 2 possible answers)

        Secondly, you have proof of child rapists in the TEA party? as I recall there are plenty of documented cases of rapes at OWS (and plenty of reports trying to supress rape charges, but that is another matter), as well as dozens of other crimes. Please, do some research and post the number of arrests at tea party rallies. Then compare them to OWS rallies.

        Fourth,as for right target and tactics? Well I’ll give a 50% here. Right target, agree on definitely wrong tactics.

        so as far as fact checks go, this is perhaps a touch…challenged. note that most sources are considered left wing, if there are issues with them, then what sources do you cite?

          Maybe you need to work on your word usage, such as when you tried to use the word “firmly”?  Nancy Pelosi is not “firmly” behind OWS, she is like most Americans, or any American, who does not want Wall Street to put Main Street out of business after getting government bailouts. 

          If I am not mistaken, that’s what the Tea Party stood against as well.  So am I to assume the OWS has the full support of the Tea Party?  Or can we just agree that there are certain arguments that our politicians need to hear, and if you are correct that Washington is the right target, then we want them to hear the message of not putting Main Street out of business by bailing out Wall Street, no?

          As to the child rape and rape cases, well, I recommend you take a stroll over to CampLiberty’s Freedom Blog, in the readers section, where Rbb takes a few moments of his day to highlight the child rape, rape and spousal abuse, drunk driving that your Tea Party candidates are afflicted with.

          I am going to assume just because their rapes don’t occur at a rally doesn’t mean they aren’t bad things for your party leaders?  No?

            look again, I used main stream reporting for my facts, you are using your postings…which is more reliable?

            secondly, did you read those reports? both the wording, the video clips and the context definitely support her being highly supportive of OWS. That is usually graded as ‘firmly’.  so, was she rogue, or was she not rogue?
            Though I grant that she is a politician, and ‘firmly’ for them usually equates to written in the sand, below the waterline, at high tide.
            As for the bailouts…mayhap that ought to be not brought in here..odds are it would not go well for your argument (TARP,  Banking, Auto industry et al…)

            thridly, you are trying to use some fallacy legerdemain to shift things: you began with the tea party rallies, then you are suddenly trying to shift to the candidates (purported) background. Shall we dig into OWS leadership backgrounds? Much less Dem leadership backgrounds? (Kennedy murder, Rangel, Walters Ethics, Pelosi visa trades et al?) The rank and file backgrounds are hardly more sterling for OWS, as evidenced by the arrests. BTW for those that did not follow the links for arrests, OWS: 5300+, Tea party: 0

            now as to your side points, yes there actually IS common ground between OWS and the tea parties: Crony capitalism. And yes, most certainly that needs to be addressed. Interestingly, who are the main opponents to the bills restricting congressional insider trading?

            I never said anything about rallies.  Here’s what I said:

            This is why the Democrats never got behind the OWS, like the Republicans got behind to support the child rapists and GOP criminals who stole from the taxpayers, otherwise known as the Tea Party.

            Bush started TARP, and it does not give you the right to distance yourself from it and blame it on one party.  OWS and the Tea Party have the same message, in that regard.

            I can’t help you if you don’t click the links that lead to reputable sources for the facts about your Tea Party leadership.  Go attack the OWS leadership if it makes you feel better, but just because Tea Party rape, spousal abuse and corruption happens in their offices, it doesn’t mean they aren’t part of the fabric of your leadership.

            Oh, and one child rape case happened at a Republican event, a young republican rally, to be exact.  The adult Conservative raped a young girl in a hotel.  Nice.

            I am quite focused, thank you for the encouragement. You mentioned only the Tea party (see above for your post) above, I replied with MSM sources on their rallies vs tea party rallies (it is called an apples to apples comparison).

            as for reputable sources, you are more reputable than the MSM? Please post your credentials for reporting and show how they are superior to ‘real’ reporters.

            as for the rest, until you can give me open source, reliable links (police reports would be best), I hope you can forgive me for not quite buying in to your point of view on the leadership. I remain open minded enough to accept that there may be something to what you say, but until or unless you provide me proof that satisfies MY understanding, I shall maintain a more…positive view of tea party leadership. 

            As for TARP, it did, indeed, begin under Bush (nice insertion of ‘it’s Bush’s fault to the conversation) but it was not killed, indeed it was expanded under current leadership. Old history, and old conversations are well archived here, so I am going to elect to not continue that conversation under the current topic. Neither of us are going to change the others mind.

            These acts are shameful, and no true American thinks this was the right
            target or proper tactics. This is why the Democrats never got behind
            the OWS, like the Republicans got behind to support the child rapists
            and GOP criminals who stole from the taxpayers, otherwise known as the
            Tea Party. – ME

            The apples to apples comparison was regarding supporting a movement where criminals are in their party and committing crime.  Surely it doesn’t matter to you where the crime occurs, but only that the crime itself occurred, at least I would hope you were that moral.

            So you can visit the link I provided, read Rbb’s article, and follow the links provided within it that direct you to the reputable source of the story.  Tea Party leaders getting arrested, charged and sent to jail is pretty serious.  Certainly you would be wise not to deny this information I have provided to you.

            How much information about the Tea Party and GOP leadership entrenched in crime, rape and spousal abuse do you need, to be convinced?

    Normally, throwing an explosive or incendiary device onto the White House grounds automatically results in a very strong response from security including the Secret Service and a guaranteed hunt-down and imprisonment. For these psychos, nothing. All the Democrats are doing by cutting them slack is guaranteeing an escalation. This is a matter of whether society will continue playing by the same rules that keep us from living by the law of the jungle or not. If they let these scumbags call society’s bluff, all hell is going to eventually break loose. A stable peaceful society depends upon everyone playing along, following the laws, and enforcing them on each other. That’s how it works. Fail to do that, and we’re back to the Stone Age on the spot.
