Palin’s Wardrobe – $150,000. Obama’s Greek Columns – $140,000

It all goes back to the mantra of the mainstream media’s monkeys when it comes to real journalism – Hear No Obama, See No Obama, And Never, Ever Speak Ill Of Obama.
From the Weekly Standard:

It turns out that the Democratic National Convention Committee spent over $140,000 on “podium production” (you can see the individual expenditures after the jump). It would seem that the construction of the Barackopolis would be included in this amount, but I can’t tell how much money was spent on the Greek-columned stage at Invesco and how much was spent on the podium at the Pepsi Center. I’ve sent an email to the DNC asking them to break this down and will post a response if and when I get it.

They’ll pay about as much attention to this – even less, actually – than they have to Obama’s campaign contributing over $800,000 to ACORN for “lighting”. But Palin’s wardrobe – now that’s a real bombshell.
Sheesh.

    Bullwinkle,

I swear I will give you a detailed explanation of getting a Brazilian wax, but I promise you don’t want to know. The first time I had one done I took Vicodin and sat on an ice pack. And no, I am not wimpy. Did you see the movie 40 yr. old virgin? The chest waxing scene is nothing. I promise that I will pay if any of you guys volunteer for a full waxing.

How much do Joe’s hair plugs cost? How much for his recent botox injections? Does he pay for it and if so does he write it off as a tax deduction? Who paid for that lobster and caviar lunch that Michelle Obama recently ordered to her hotel room? How about that custom made suit that Obama had made in Chicago recently, who paid for that? Who paid for the plane trip Obama just took to visit his sick grandmother? This wasn’t a campaign trip, why does he get to use the private plane?

This wardrobe story is a non story.

  • di butler

Hillary pantsuits-$6,000 each, she ordered a dozen during her campaign run. She also has millions to buy clothes, plus a long history of time to meet designers and get “freebies.” If you check, you will find all tv personalities, actresses, and politicians dress for success. I have been broke and wore Walmart, and then I was able to buy really nice things for big dinners and conventions. It might make some people sick, but I have spent 2-3 thousand on an outfit. By the time you spend $500 for shoes, same for a purse, jewelry, it really adds up. Can you do it for less? Sure, but they would have excoriated her as a bumpkin. She couldn’t have won this either way. Obama has raised $650 million dollars, where exactly has all of that gone? I give to the RNC, so if they want to use it for Sarah’s makeover, cool with me. BTW, to get a hair cut, color, highlights, blowdry, style here in ATL it costs me about $275.00. I get it done every 4 weeks. To get a mani-pedi, around $50.00. Most women get it done about every 4 weeks, also. Sorry, but high maintenance crap is expensive. You guys don’t even want to know about the body waxing!

    Female.

So $150,000 for a wardrobe – not okay.

Claims that it came from “US taxpayers” rather than contributors – okay. (Such a claim is designed to make Palin look bad, so this spin is approved.)

$140,000 for shitty looking Greek columns, used once – A-OK.

Wow. The rules change daily in the “reality based” community. They change the operational truth so quickly, that it is sometimes hard to keep up.

  • tebo

Palin’s wardrobe and Obama’s greek columns are the same thing. Stuff costs money, big deal. Both sides try to take any opportunity to make each other look bad.

    Are you sure about that?

  • http://bullwinkleblog.com/ Bullwinkle

I wasn’t saying I wanted to know, I was responding to you saying “You guys don’t even want to know”.

I’m sure some of the Marxist turds here would like full details, some of them like WOOF and Sparkie probably haven’t been laid since the last time Hugo Chavez was in the states.

Perspective (something the Obama followers are lacking here): Obama’s 45 minute speech at Invesco Field cost $5,300,000.

Obama supporters may now commence their blatant hypocrisy.

  • Bat One

So what if RNC spent $150K on Palin? Is she any more “personally enriched” than Joe Biden has been for riding the train for 35 years? The difference is that the Palin wardrobe expenses paid by RNC, like Obama’s ludicrous Invesco “Parthenon” were privately funded expenditures. Biden’s $600 train rides, on the other hand, were paid for by the US taxpayers. And that is shameful!

    Stephen Bishop!!!

    HAA!!!

  • crshedd

palin’s clothes is a bigger story than edwards’ $400 haircut (bigger ‘cuz edwards could get 375 $400 haircuts for $150,000).

did conservatives go on and on and on and on about edwards?

    you betcha’!

The post retracted the Michelle Obama story because, well, it was a lie.

    Bullwinkle,

Well, I don’t know about their relations, but they sure have a lot of anger that seems to need a good burning off. I have noticed that when a man is sexually fulfilled he tends to be pretty happy and easy going.

$150,000.00 to gussy up Sarah up so she can call Obama and elitist?

    And a voice coach too!!!

    Nice.

  • http://bullwinkleblog.com/ Bullwinkle

And how much of Obama’s campaign money was paud to ACORN’s voter fraud registration scheme?

    Oh yeah, $800,000.

I suppose those illegal voter registrations will be auctioned off after the election.

As long as the multi-millionaire can try to pass the lie that he can’t afford new shoes he’ll be alright. As long as his comrades are willing to help him pass that the lie along.

Palins wardrobe and Obama’s colums are NOT the same thing!!

It turns out that the Democratic National Convention Committee spent over $140,000 on “podium production” (you can see the individual expenditures after the jump).

Ya think???? Money donated by hardworking/Taxpaying Americans give money for campaigns. The podiums are paid for by campaign finance, you idiot.

Of course the money that is donated to the campaign is expected to be used for campaign costs, equipment and travel.

It is not mean to buy the Palin family lavish and ridiculously over-priced clothing.

  • mplsbob

Michelle Obama stays at the Waldorf Astoria and orders Iranian caviar and losbter. Wait, isn’t that where Presidents and diplomats stay? What does it cost to stay there, $10,000 a night? WTF

Another of many non-stories about Palin.

How many stories about the association between Acorn and Obama? Ayres and Obama? Wright and Obama? Better get a snickers, I’ll be waiting a while.

Palin’s clothes/jewlery are being auctioned off for charity after the campaign, Poodle.

Hey Rob I find it funny that the Dems are going here when NOBAMA has some really nice cloths as well. I find it funny that the press isn’t looking into that. Oh, wait, never mind…

MCCAIN: Madam President, the amendment before the Senate is a very simple one. It restricts the use of campaign funds for inherently personal purposes. The amendment would restrict individuals from using campaign funds for such things as home mortgage payments, clothing purchases … and vacations or other trips that are noncampaign in nature.

informed the RNC that if they will rent me a Bentley
I will drive it around with Mc/Palin bumper stickers
and not feel enriched, just empowered.

Obama was not personally enriched by the stage.
    Sarah was personally enriched.

    $4K for men’s clothes.
    Kids clothes too. WTF

There’s no way i say no
