According to Rasmussen, the Palin Speech shaved 4 points off Obama’s lead.  However that poll is a 3 day moving average.  To shave 4 points off a lead in a single day, you have to have a BIG SWING in McCain-Palin’s direction.

He doesn’t state what the polling numbers were the final day (post Palin), but I am guessing a 2 to 3 point lead for McCain to come up with an average deficit of 1 point after Obama was ahead by 5.

She lied real well in it too.

Ok, can anyone explain to me why on the biggest night of his political career, McCain had a big picture of some Middle School in Hollywood, CA behind him for the first half of his speech, thus bathing McCain in ugly green light?

I mean, the green background was bad enough but what possible message could there have been showing that picture of the school?

The point of the airplane story (which seems to escape some) is that she got rid of an extravagance that the state did not need, cut any further losses or expenses on it, and put that money back into the state treasury, rather than raise taxes to do it!

One commenter over at the page Hawk either couldn’t find or wouldn’t link to, seemed to think that the $600K depreciation over three years was a good deal for the state! I don’t know. But, then, I’m not calling anyone a liar over it!
