Palin More Popular Than McCain And Obama

Sarah Palin is the most popular national politician in America right now.

A week ago, most Americans had never heard of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Now, following a Vice Presidential acceptance speech viewed live by more than 40 million people, Palin is viewed favorably by 58% of American voters. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 37% hold an unfavorable view of the self-described hockey mom.

The figures include 40% with a Very Favorable opinion of Palin and 18% with a Very Unfavorable view (full demographic crosstabs are available for Premium Members). Before her acceptance speech, Palin was viewed favorably by 52%. A week ago, 67% had never heard of her.

The new data also shows significant increases in the number who say McCain made the right choice and the number who say Palin is ready to be President. Generally, John McCain’s choice of Palin earns slightly better reviews than Barack Obama’s choice of Joe Biden.

Perhaps most stunning is the fact that Palin’s favorable ratings are now a point higher than either man at the top of the Presidential tickets this year. As of Friday morning, Obama and McCain are each viewed favorably by 57% of voters. Biden is viewed favorably by 48%.

There is a strong partisan gap when it comes to perceptions of Palin. Eighty-nine percent (89%) of Republicans give her favorable reviews along with 33% of Democrats and 59% of voters not affiliated with either major party.

Of those numbers, the nearly 60% of independents who view Palin positively is perhaps the most important.

40 is greater than 38.  I do wonder why yesterday her number was 37.  In any case, she is real, not a liar.  Did post the state’s plane on ebay and talks the language of The Truth.

I’m certainly more enamored of Palin than I am of Obama or McCain.

And Biden is just another politician in the pocket of greedy trial lawyers.

Heres a little news flash, for those reporters and commentators. I’m not going to Washington to seek their good opinion. I’m going to Washington to serve the people of this great country.

Palin is everything that Hillary would like to be, a real honest-to-life American.

You don’t have to be a moron to be a liberal Democrat but it sure helps.

I’m not sure, I read somewhere that they had to add in the PBS viewers.  (which I assume showed the entire convention like CSPAN did).  That’s probably the best way to watch the convention.

Maybe it takes longer to get PBS numbers in since they are government enterprises and therefore wardsback.

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

More people saw the Palin speech simply because of the novelty of it.  They wanted to see this republican female newcomer make a national speech for the very first time in her life to convince everybody that she would be the correct second-in-comand.  It’s a ground-breaking move for the republican party and the nation in many levels.  On the other hand, everybody has already heard Obama campaigning for the last few years and they’ve already mostly made up their mind.  Humans are simply attracted to shock and awe.

But don’t confuse the high number of viwers with the amount of support for her.

Shocked I am!  I’m going to have a heart attack and die of shock right now.

Given her HIGH approval ratings, in both Alaska and now nationally, and the incredible viewership of her acceptance speech (Something like 50% greater than her counterpart, Biden), and you should be worried that the polls will move because of this woman.

She is REAL.  She is AUTHENTIC.  She is CONSERVATIVE.  She is NEW!  All of these things, Americans consistently show they despereatley want in a presidential candidate.... Watch out dems, she is a game-changer for sure!

It’s just “this” simple to me:

Palin makes me feel better about doing what I need to do.
Vote Republican.
She seems to walk the walk and talk the talk, consistently.

No way, no how would I vote for Obama and Biden. Higher taxes. Bigger Government. Socialism. Strangle the Free Market, etc..

McCain, bless his heart. Love him. P.O.W., all that.
But during his speach last night, when he included Illegal Alien’s Kids, as those he wanted to “fight” for..
I was “Stunned” he would say that. Why? It was uncalled for.
It upset me so much, I couldn’t listen for ten friggin’ minutes.

So. Sarah… Wecome, welcome, welcome....

Palin is a Pit Bull with lipstick. She will take on the liberal elite media and political Washington machine of do-nothings without breaking a sweat!...and love every minute of it! Hussein Obama and his liberal followers are scared spit-less! LOL

What a woman!

GO! SARAH GO!

It’s quite sad that so many people actually like their VP candidate more than their presidential pick, who actually wanted someone else for the job. It’s pretty clear that the support streaming out of the pores of some folks for this woman are based far more on her “spunk” - and their mistrust of anyone who doesn’t look like them - then on her qualifications. The woman thought that Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae were too “too big and too expensive to the taxpayers,” before the government took them over.

She doesn’t have a clue

Taken over?  That’d be like the government taking over the Department of Defense.

If you hadn’t realized it, they have always been the government.  In fact the whole stupid idea was a bit of New Deal socialism.

I’m really sorry that you’ve been so misled about the reality of the these two government agencies.

Most excellent Mr.PFLEGER.  You deserve a special dispensation from the POPE!! He should be able to grant you some indulgences.

Well done !!!

[An indulgence, in Roman Catholic theology, is the full or partial remission of temporal punishment due for sins which have already been forgiven.]
