Palin Draws Biggest Audience In 14 Years For Saturday Night Live

Wow…

Sarah Palin’s visit to “Saturday Night Live” drew the show’s highest overnight rating in 14 years.
Last night’s telecast, hosted by Josh Brolin and featuring musical guest Adele, averaged a 10.7 rating and 24 share in 56 metered markets, according to Nielsen Media Research. That’s the highest overnight ‘SNL’ average since a 1994 episode that was hosted by Nancy Kerrigan and featured musical guest Aretha Franklin.
Saturday’s program also included appearances by Alec Baldwin, Mark Wahlberg, Oliver Stone and — once again reprising her role as Palin — Tina Fey. But it was the much-anticipated visit by the real Alaska governor that gave the show its biggest overnight rating in more than a decade. The numbers also make “SNL” the third-highest-rated show of last week, after ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” and CBS’ “CSI.”

Obama appeared on SNL with Olympic golden boy Michael Phelps just over a month ago and couldn’t pull the numbers Palin did.

i’m gonna go out on limb and say that 80% of that audience wasn’t the palin lipstick brigade.

Obama canceled his SNL appearance — but I still think it is very telling that Palin and McCain draw big (Letterman) like people aren’t buying the Obama ‘fairy tale’ and are searching for a real President.

…After all, car accidents and train wrecks draw crowds too.

One thing I admire about the Palins is their devotion to their family and that both share parenting duties.

Still didn’t keep the teenager from getting preggers. They must teach abstinence-only.

Seems the number of 100k was stretched. A woman who lives in that neighborhood was there and said that they would have had to be on the magical unicorn buses if there was that many sheeple there. She spoke to a police officer for confirmation, he said 45-50k. Still a huge crowd, but not quite the number reported. Before you even jump on me, I am not sure where that was posted, but will try to find it.

One thing I admire about the Palins is their devotion to their family and that both share parenting duties. I was amused and pleased that Todd said he could tell that this was a family-oriented business because there was a diaper changing station in the men’s room. My hubby got tired of changing diapers on the tail gate, so I appreciate Todd’s remark.

AWWW, are the libtrolls in a frenzy because their messiah couldn’t draw even as much as a VP of the opposition?

    Ummm, no . . .

Explains the crowds at Barry’s speeches then.

    Huh?

You mean the one in St. Louis, with over 100k?
