Palin Didn’t Know Africa Was A Continent?

Seems as though there are some disgruntled McCain staffers out there are thinking that if The Maverick’s political career is essentially dead in the water, Palin’s may as well be too.

I find it a little hard to believe that a woman who had the audacity to get herself elected Governor of the State of Alaska by campaigning against her own party doesn’t know, for instance, that America is made up of three different nations.
But I’m sure the Palin haters on the left and in the media will lap it up. Palin is a mere commoner. A hockey mom. A pragmatist. Someone who comes from a place that’s about as far away from the elite circles of Washington DC society as you can get.
How dare she ever have pretended as though she had a spot on the national stage!

Another reason why McCain lost is that the turkey’s he hired should be pushing a broom somewhere.

Sabotaging the VP candidate is stupid.

Let’s not forget the media’s view of Reagan versus the reality and how he connected with the people. I’m not saying Sarah is a Reagan, but right now she’s my choice for 2012!

  • http://insanereindeer.blogspot.com/ Kenny

Ya see di, the first three women you mentioned were wives of candidates, not actually the candidate…and the last one proved his critics correct over and over and over and over and over and over

Actually Quayle got mocked for saying a lot of extremely intelligent things. His Murphy Brown line was pretty spot on. Somehow it got twisted to where they lied and said he didn’t understand she wasn’t a real person (ridiculous given he mentioned it was a TV show). His line about marriage not being a deterrant to promiscuity was dead on. The man was bright, and leftists must lie to make him seem dumb.

Is Palin the savior that Whistler makes her out to be? No. Is she a good candidate…not really. She’s a politician in the mold of John McCain, which is why he chose her. But there’s no doubt she’s an intelligent woman. I just disagree with her policy and have no desire to vote for her.

“Ignorant of science, government and things international. Knowledgeable of witches. ”

This statement from WOOF demonstrates my point that RRB has more whit and intelligence than the average liberal here.

The claim she is ignorant of science comes from her belief in God. She has done a great job with Alaska so far and I am sure she will finish well. As for things international, get ready to watch Obama in action. People will quickly come to the realization that even a 3rd grader could do a better job and I am sure Palin falls above that category.

Now for my favorite…she is knowledgeable of witches? Because one pastor from Africa (the country lol) came to her church a long time ago. Maybe she wasn’t there that day. Maybe she was listening to a football game while the black ignorant pastor from Africa was praying against the genital mutilators, murders, etc (animists started this practice). I mean Obama did it for 20 years. Maybe Sarah did it for one service. WOOF, thanks for being the intellectual gimp that you are.

I can’t wait until Barry ‘fixes’ the U.S. economy.

One thing that is clear, McCain’s strategy of running from the center, ie Democrat lite, was a spectacular failure. Is there no curiosity why McCain staffers would want to try and transfer that blame? Didn’t most everyone, except the media, think that strategy of reaching across the aisle, ie the ‘maverick’ was stupid from the get go? It sure wasn’t Palin’s idea, she just tried to parrot the drivel she was told to.

    Palin 2012.

So you can report unsourced, undocumented rumor and no rebuttal.

A lot of Mitt Romney’s campaign workers moved to McCain’s campaign and they see Palin as a threat to Romney’s plans and are doing whatever they can to destroy her. They purposely started the “Rogue Rumors” and leaked them.

McCains campaign was a comedy of errors. I guess he really was the Manchurian Candidate.

She’s an ignorant, greedy, ham handed sow, who parrots irrelevant talking points when asked a question beyond her limited knowledge.

    Let’s “fisk” Woof’s comment here.

Ignorant; compared to Joe Biden, who seems to make everything up? Compared to Barack Obama, who has evidently failed to realize that Chicago politics is corrupt? FAIL for Woof.

Greedy; she cut her pay as mayor and greatly decreased her perks as governor. In contrast, Obama collaborated with a criminal to buy a house he couldn’t afford, and Biden has lived hand to mouth despite six figure income for the past 35 years. FAIL again.

Ham handed sow; when the first thing most men notice about Mrs. Palin is her attractiveness, we can safely give another FAIL to Woof here.

“Parrots irrelevant talking points”; another FAIL for Woof. Oil production is anything but irrelevant to Alaskans, never mind anyone who owns a car.

So let’s give a hearty “FAIL” to a great FAILure, Woof, as well as to the GOSSIPS who aren’t man enough to put their names behind their allegations in the McCain campaign.

One thing that is clear, McCain’s strategy of running from the center, ie Democrat lite, was a spectacular failure.

History suggests that it wasn’t a strategy, but rather that McCain is Democrat lite. Conservatives have been saying that for over a decade now.

Some on the left are going around claiming that a resounding Obama win signifies the failure of conservatism.

Obama didn’t beat a conservative. He beat a poor excuse of squishy middle candidate; a damaged brand candidate in a damaged brand party. A guy the Democrats claimed was “McBush”, a clone of Bush, the most reviled man in the whole wide world.

For all of the claims of “unity” and everybody loving Obama along with all of the stupendous disasters associated with McCain, it should have been a much more resounding defeat.

    BB,

Your smack-down of WOOF is informative. His comment was glib, snide, provocative, and emotive. Yours was thoughtful, reasoned, comprehensive, and articulate. Could there be a more telling distinction between the thought process of a conservative and what passes for thought on the Left?

I have lost all respect for McCain if he doesn’t dispute these rumors/gossip/slander about Palin. He said they didn’t have problems. He said that Palin was doing a great job and handling the stress well. He is either a liar or his aids are liars. Since I have never heard him explicitly lie, I have to go with the nast aids being the liars.

If McCain does not defend the honor of the woman he dragged into this mess (including the Couric interview), he is a piece of trash.

  • DBdowner

I’ve heard the soundclip. I was joking about her not being there and drawing the comparison to Obama not being effected by rev. Wright. Just because you let someone pray over you doesn’t mean you are obsessed with or know about witchcraft. If Obama spent 20 years with a psycho and he gets a pass, palin who spent 4 mins with soemone you think is psycho shouldn’t merit your attention. Unless you are slime and doing what comes natural.

Sarah and scientific R&D, I haven’t paid attention to. If she was against government funding R&D I would agree if the goal is not clear cut and necessary and is more of a shot gun blast at improvement. If she said that R&D is totally unimportant or bad, she is an idiot.

    Kenny,

She may turn out to be like McCain, but I haven’t found anything to lead me to that conclusion. I went back and did some heavy digging into her records, not the talking points from the t.v., and I even read back to all I could find from her school board days. She has been pretty dang consistent. She has been wobbly on a few things, the bridge, ear marks, but she has tried to correct things when they weren’t working the way they should. I don’t blame her for a few missteps. I haven’t found a pol yet who didn’t have to feel their way through when they were starting out. However, she has been pretty tough. She called out people from her own party, and pissed off a lot of fellow politicians. She didn’t seem to care if her fellow pols were p.o., she really tried to make the her constituents happy. Everything I found was pretty conservative. Of course it was hard for me to hear her repeating McCain’s views, but I know that’s how the game is played. I think for someone who is pretty green as far as politics go in the big leagues, having a very short learning curve, being stuffed with talking points and what to say at every minute, she has done very well. The most blame goes to whomever mishandled her and didn’t take the trouble to learn who she was as a person. They tried to mold her into a big-leaguer at the same time telling her to be herself. They didn’t let her get used to all the media with small venues, radio, etc. They either hid her, or threw her to the wolves. If she did go rogue and threw some fits, then I respect her even more. It was almost like a sabotage, the clothes, etc. Wonder if it was the same person who has been trying to slam her now that the ship has sunk?

More than anything else, this story smells like a disgruntled campaign staffer trying to shift the blame for McCain’s loss to a VP choice the staffer had vehemently opposed in the first place. Particularly as those on the McCain campaign staff really don’t have much pertinence at the moment anyhow.

Remember too, that the subject of Palin came up when Carl Cameron was asking about the story that the McCain camp had limited her public appearances and media exposure. This story has CYA written all over it.

John McCain’s indistinct ideology aside, this was a really poorly run campaign from the very moment it became clear that McCain had the nomination in hand.

Fox really sucked on that one. Unnamed sources in the McCain camp. That could be true, could be just someone making crap up, or even a low-level volunteer, looking for some attention. I can buy she doesn’t know a whole lot about foreign policy and govermental procedures. Most v.p.s don’t know crappola. But, I saw her college transcripts. Good grades. Sarah Palin came to the campaign when she was asked. She did not campaign for the job. She only had her family and maybe a couple of aides but no one else to “look out for her”. Now she is being tossed to the wolves to deflect attention from the real problem: John McCain.

That is like asking the neighbor (conservatives) that you (John McCain) have been mostly ignoring to come to your house to help put out a fire. The neighbor comes and nearly saves your house (46% of popular vote) and then you blame the neighbor for your house burning down. This is ingratitude at its worst!

Republicans would have done much better this year if they had offered a “choice instead of an echo” of the Democratic party. The best they could do was to draw in Palin at the end. This race was lost when “teh Fred” hemmed and hawed too long before getting in. The rest of the field was Democrat “lite” (not unlike GWB) and conservatives largely failed to engage.

  • Oswaldo

She’s a real conservative, and he’s a leftie; not so much similarity.

Not really. While Sarah seems to believe in conservative ideals, she doesn’t put them into practice. While she herself is prolife, she fought her party on making more restrictions on abortion. While she may have voted against gay marriage, she signed legislation into effect that gave them all kinds of benefits, and made them married in effect. She may be socially conservative in her private life. In her public role, not so much.

Well, at least she’s a fiscal conservative….well, not really. At least some of the problems with her fiscal policy we have covered, but here are a few more:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qm6SeDXqd-g&eurl=

We all hype her extremely modest pay cut, but her pay cut was over shadowed by the fact that she had to hire a consultant to help her out. Not that I fault her for needing help to figure out the job…but it completely negates her pay cut. Her pay cut is the equivalent of McCain’s fight against earmarks…while approving OTHER wasteful spending.

It’s not that either of them aren’t conservatives. McCain the person is a good conservative. McCain the politician isn’t. Palin the person is an awesome conservative. Palin the politician isn’t. This doesn’t mean either is terrible, but they’re an extremely mixed bag. McCain is right on Iraq and Georgia, wrong on Bosnia. He’s right on extending current tax cuts, but was wrong on making them in the first place. Right on welfare….wrong on housing subsidies. Etc.

My goodness, some of you act like you have never heard the kind of crap that comes out of campaigns when they don’t win. I remember that Kitty Dukaukis got labeled a drunk, pill popper, racist. Tipper Gore, drunk, closet lesbian. This is just par for the course. Somebody is taking their anger out on her, trying to make themselves important. Nancy Reagan had a psychic she talked to, liked astrology. She was said to believe in devil worship, conjuring dead spirits, and nuts. Dan Quayle got labeled the dumbest human to ever such air for the next 3 decades. It doesn’t follow party lines, whoever isn’t in favor, gets the shaft. Making her out to be stupid is the best way for them to attack her. Do I think she is a foreign policy expert, no way.
