Palestinians Now Claim That Israel Is Releasing Hordes Of Rats To Drive Them Away

Sigh.

You have to hand it to the Palestinian propagandists.

They manage to find ways to explain away just about any shortcoming or fault with their own people - like the fact that they live in a seventh century level of squalor and that rats naturally like that setting - and blame the Jews for their self-inflicted misery at the same time:

The Palestinian Authority’s official news agency Wafa says Israel is using rats to drive Arab families out of their homes in the Old City of Jerusalem.

[...]

“Rats have become an Israeli weapon to displace and expel Arab residents of the occupied Old City of Jerusalem,” Wafa reported under the title, “Settlers flood the Old City of Jerusalem with rats.” The report continued: “Over the past two months, dozens of settlers come to the alleyways and streets of the Old City carrying iron cages full of rats. They release the rats, which find shelter in open sewage systems.”

You or I would read this and scoff at the sheer ridiculousness of it, the very idea that shady Jews are slipping cages of rats into any part of a city they share - rats are notoriously unaware of the artificial boundaries of neighborhood limits - in some kind of unholy alliance with the rodents.

But....there are those in the Muslim world who will believe every word of this. Why, when the whole thing is so absurd?

Because they want to, that’s why.

I still don’t understand why the religious right backs the Zionist oppressors so mush. They don’t even believe in Jesus, there not going to “your” heaven, why do you care so much what happens to them?

Probably because “the second coming” cant happen if the Jews aren’t in Israel.

Its been 2000 years guys, he probably has new pets to play with now.

Buzz,

I’m not “the religious right” by any stretch of the imagination.

I support Israel because it’s the right thing to do. It’s an island of civilization in a sea or backwards, violent ignorance.

By the way, after following some of your comments here I have to say that you seem to fall onto the same category as Hannitized - being obtuse for the sake of being obtuse as opposed to disagreeing in order to make a genuine argument.

Zionist oppressors

Gee Buzz, you sound like a raving anti-semite.

Ken McCracken on July 20, 2008 at 08:44 am

Your absolutely right, there is nothing I can say to change anyone’s mind here. There slide into absolute religious bigotry and neo-con hate is do complete that any hope for them is long gone. Any relevant point that I make is simply discarded with a “no its not” or a simple grammar correction, without addressing anything of substance.

So I am relegated to “being obtuse” until I am banned from this site. But at least you are actually reading what I have said here. Not just reacting to one phrase , or two words you can copy past and make fun of.

That’s what happens on the leftie sites.

Heh, you use anti-semitic code words like ‘Zionist oppressors’ and then you get mad because someone calls you on it?

You talk about ‘Zionist oppressors’ and we are supposed to take you seriously in a debate?

Ken McCracken on July 20, 2008 at 09:00 am

Buzz - There slide into absolute religious bigotry...

You are diminishing the importance of the words you have chosen when you accuse those here.

Many posting here are against absolute religious bigotry.

That’s funny! When we do address the “substance”, you run and hide like a little girl!
You’re too funny, Buzz!

Also funny: Over the course of half an hour, Buzz the Know-Nothing gratuitously insulted me and called me names on two threads I hadn’t even commented on. (Here and here.) Now he wants to play the martyr! Boo-freaking-hoo, Lightweight! No sympathy here!

Zionism is an international political movement that originally supported the reestablishment of a homeland for the Jewish People in Palestine (Hebrew: Eretz Yisra’el, “the Land of Israel”), and continues primarily as support for the modern state of Israel.[1]

Although its origins are earlier, the movement was formally established by the Austro-Hungarian journalist Theodor Herzl in the late 19th century. The movement was eventually successful in establishing Israel in 1948, as the world’s first and only modern Jewish State. Described as a “diaspora nationalism,"[2] its proponents regard it as a national liberation movement whose aim is the self-determination of the Jewish people.[3]

Oppression is the act of using power to empower and/or privilege a group at the expense of disempowering, marginalizing, silencing, and subordinating another. Note: Oppression does not need established organizational support; it can be rendered on a much smaller individual scale. It is particularly closely associated with nationalism and derived social systems, wherein identity is built by antagonism to the other. The term itself derives from the idea of being “weighted down.”

The Jews are self proclaimed Zionist. It is a political movement. And have illegally occupied the Palestinians land since the Six-day-war. I don’t hate the Jews, I don’t love the Jews, I don’t care one way or the other about the Jews. But the comment is true, they are Zionist oppressors. There can be no doubt about that.

Noam Chomsky will be surprised to hear that.

Buzz is so worried aboput Zionist oppressors that he comments on them regularly without fear of retaliation. If one word of what the lying, ignorant p.o.s. says was true he’d have woken up dead with a Star of David carved into his pathetic hide long ago. He hasn’t. He won’t.

The Palestine terrorists, Hamas and the lot, should feel quite at home with their fellow rats.

You don’t have to be a moron to be a liberal Democrat but it sure helps.

Has anybody thought about the possibility this is a humanitarian gesture on the part of the Israelis, toward the starving poor desperate starving palestinians?

As a soldier, I deployed lotsa places, particularly South West Asia, and North Africa, to include Egypt, Afghanistan, Saudia, Somalia, and Iraq, where the only viable livestock are rats, sheep, and camels, in that order.

A good size rat should feed the typical palestinian family for days…
