Overplaying Their Hand: More Americans See Democrats As Too Liberal Than Any Time Since 1994

Interesting…

PRINCETON, NJ — A Gallup Poll finds a statistically significant increase since last year in the percentage of Americans who describe the Democratic Party’s views as being “too liberal,” from 39% to 46%. This is the largest percentage saying so since November 1994, after the party’s losses in that year’s midterm elections.

The timing is the most important part of this:

Notice that since Obama has been elected the “too liberal” line passed the “just right” mark for the first time in a long time. Coincidence? I think not.
Liberals have been acting as though their electoral victories were a mandate to pursue liberalism. In truth, their electoral victories had more to do with a grumbling GOP. Republicans were laboring under scandal after scandal, and even now the conservative base as all but stopped taking them seriously. Conservatives were either staying home from the polls, or casting protest votes for the other side.
And Democrats were benefiting from that. And now they appear to be overplaying their hand.

Dino, I don’t know why Rob allows you to post here. If this was my blog you’d be history. You are such an asshole and never say shit worthwhile. You are a waste of space and are breathing good air that should go to someone worthwhile, or even a goat.

    Newt Gingrich, call your office!

And of course we all know which political party honors contracts and which one delights in abrogating them.

    WOOF:

To liberal as opposed to too nuts.

Actually that wasn’t a polling question, and for obvious reason:

You guys are nuttier than fruit bats.

Just wait until next April 15 when things don’t work out for the mindless sheeple like Obama promised.

Unemployment rising, tax reciepts falling, as the country goes GALT. It’s going to be fun.

What ya gonna do when you run out of other people’s money to give to their stooges.

had they not caused the Great Depression of 2009

…by failing to rein in the excesses of Pelosi, Reid, Dodd and Frank! There! Fixed it for you!

Tax exempt municipal bonds are a prudent choice at the moment, especially for those who are disinclined to see their tax dollars frittered away by arithmetically-challenged radical adolescents who’ve never run a business or worried about payrolls and profits. An income safe from the predations of state and federal tax collectors, expecially with Democrats in power, is a good thing.

Both of those are typical of Dems/lefties/extreme left wingers/fascists.

And republicans might have been able to capitalize on this perception had they not caused the Great Depression of 2009.

As the underclass grows, the stems agenda of wealth worship will make them a bigger target for tire irons.

  • Bat One

    As the underclass grows…

Make up your mind, Swish! You’ve already told us countless times how well Obama’s so-called “stimulus” is working to save the economy. Now you predict a growing “underclass”???

Either make up your mind, or admit you’re just a nickle-dime hack with absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.

This poll makes absolute sense. Come on, with the bailouts and everything who wouldn’t think that?

    Best,

Potato honey, without the “trolls” there is no arguement, just a circle jerk of mutual ignorance reinforcement.

So I’d like to hear what platform the republicans are going to run on in 2010. More tax cuts for the rich? Deregulation of the financial sector? Good luck with that!

The only way those walking turds can even garner 25% of the vote is to abandon their true agenda of increasing corporate power and giveaways to the rich, and instead become populists. Then they’ll have to deliver more than another fake housing bubble that wipes out 30-50% of the shrinking middle class’ wealth.

Stupid cons. You’re like the boy who cried wolf. Only the truly deluded cretins (read-the majority at SAB) will fall for the perverted song and dance of the discredited, failed republicans.

    Not to mention Dino’s purthe.

    The WEIRD MATH of Pollsters:

If you look at the most recent Rasmussen Poll showing that Republicans have once again surged to a 2 point advantage in the Generic Preference for Congress Poll, you’ll notice some stupifying underlying numbers.

    1) Amongst Men, Republicans lead by 10 points.
    2) Amongst Women, Democrats lead by 4 points.
    3) Amongst Independents, Republicans lead by a whopping 13 points!

So that is an overall 6 point lead amongst the sexes and a 13 point lead amonst Independents, yet the Top Line Lead is only 2 points?

    The new math?

To me, the ONLY possible answer for this is a once-again vastly oversampled Democrat base.

  • http://ndgoon.blogspot.com/ goon

And republicans might have been able to capitalize on this perception had they not caused the Great Depression of 2009.

Swing and a miss against moron. This mess started after the Dems took control of the house and senate.

  • http://insanereindeer.blogspot.com/ Kenny

    Right. Republican depression.

That’s why the Republican party blocked reform of Fannie and Freddy. That’s why they pressured banks into bad loans at the thread of lawsuits. Oh that was Democrats? I forgot.

OK, that’s why they pressed the minimum wage increase that increased unemployment. Oh wait that was Dems again? Hmmm…

That’s why Republican Congress ran up massive deficits in 2007 and 2008. Oh, Dems again. Balls.

So it wasn’t a Republican recession. Who knew?

  • Zakk

Since 94′? Didn’t something else happen in 94?…now, if only I could figure out what that was?

    Anyone? Anyone?

Save time, use the script, ignore Dino and the other libtards. You’re arguing with trolls, and trolls aren’t involved in the argument. You respond because you believe the impression before you, that someone is disagreeing with you and wanting an argument, and that’s how they get everything dragged off line. Do you really need to see threads that run three pages with Hannah and Proof and a few others arguing the whole way about Hannah’s egocentrism?

Look up usenet, flame wars and trolls some time. These libtards are trolls, pure and simple.
