Outrage:  George Bush Suspends All Deportations So Obama’s Illegal Aunt Doesn’t Get Deported

Is it too late to impeach him?

Putting politics above homeland security, the Bush administration ordered immigration authorities across the country to halt all deportation enforcement actions until the campaign season was over.

According to my sources, the Bush administration issued a 72-hour cease-and-desist order to all fugitive apprehension teams to spare Obama embarrassment over his Kenyan half-aunt, Zeituni Onyango. The Associated Press reported on November 1 that Onyango was a deportation evader — one of an estimated 700,000 illegal alien absconders who have ignored orders from immigration judges to leave the country. The wire report mentioned that the Department of Homeland Security distributed “an unusual nationwide directive within Immigration and Customs Enforcement requiring any deportations prior to Tuesday’s election to be approved at least at the level of ICE regional directors.”

Even Obama, prior to the election of course, said that his aunt ought to be subject to the laws.  However that simple truth isn’t going to be followed.

Aside from the political cronyism inherent in this is the fact that this order applies to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens that are due to be deported.  Why should the country’s immigration department justice system be held up for one person?  Why must we

pay for at least

[further choke the system]  after months and months of boarding these criminals in jails all over the country?  If these people are going to be returned to their countries wouldn’t they be better off to start their lives in their own countries sooner than later.  Or is this just George Bush’s plan to grant amnesty [for some] by letting these people stay in the country for now in case the congress changes the law.

This is stupid all the way around.  I expected better out of George Bush.  This is just exactly what’s wrong with Washington.
