Outrage: George Bush Suspends All Deportations So Obama’s Illegal Aunt Doesn’t Get Deported

Is it too late to impeach him?

Putting politics above homeland security, the Bush administration ordered immigration authorities across the country to halt all deportation enforcement actions until the campaign season was over.
According to my sources, the Bush administration issued a 72-hour cease-and-desist order to all fugitive apprehension teams to spare Obama embarrassment over his Kenyan half-aunt, Zeituni Onyango. The Associated Press reported on November 1 that Onyango was a deportation evader — one of an estimated 700,000 illegal alien absconders who have ignored orders from immigration judges to leave the country. The wire report mentioned that the Department of Homeland Security distributed “an unusual nationwide directive within Immigration and Customs Enforcement requiring any deportations prior to Tuesday’s election to be approved at least at the level of ICE regional directors.”

Even Obama, prior to the election of course, said that his aunt ought to be subject to the laws. However that simple truth isn’t going to be followed.
Aside from the political cronyism inherent in this is the fact that this order applies to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens that are due to be deported. Why should the country’s immigration department justice system be held up for one person? Why must we pay for at least [further choke the system] after months and months of boarding these criminals in jails all over the country? If these people are going to be returned to their countries wouldn’t they be better off to start their lives in their own countries sooner than later. Or is this just George Bush’s plan to grant amnesty [for some] by letting these people stay in the country for now in case the congress changes the law.
This is stupid all the way around. I expected better out of George Bush. This is just exactly what’s wrong with Washington.

I am glad his aunt is not getting deported.

    Kind thought, Zsa Zsa.

  • Hawk

You don’t shut down the justice department for 3 months

    3 months?

Guess what folks, the day of honest, sincere, and vocal opposition may be coming to an end.

You can’t question his past associates,
You can’t question his past experience.
You can’t question his campaign contributions and spending.
You can’t question his illegal alien relatives in this country.
You can’t question his going to Middle East and Europe, trying to conduct foreign policy before becoming the President.
You can’t question the presumption that he will be the absolutely best President we have ever had.

If you do, know what you will be labeled?

    3 months?

    oops.

    Whistler,

That definately was the quote of the day! I don’t know where Michelle got her info, she is usually solid, but I was going to post what Oswald did. I can’t believe Bush would just say, hey, we know people are wanting to attack us at any time, so let’s just lay off on things so we don’t end up picking up this one woman? I would like to think if they wanted her kept hidden, it wouldn’t have been a prob. He could have gotten word to O’s peeps and said stash her away. I find it fishy. I think it is sweet that Think About It feels like Bush is a nice person, and he is a very compassionate man, but it doesn’t hold water for me. Also, Think, Obama didn’t have anything to do with the Auntie. He came out immediately and said she should be deported immediately. Of course, I don’t think he could say anything else. She should have been dealt with much, much sooner. I think he was dead wrong not to find out if she was around, and get her straightened out before he ran. Not to sound too creepy, but this has been bugging me. Did they bury his grandmother? If so, am I wrong in thinking he should have went?

  • Mickey

Can’t she move in with Obama’s half brother in Africa. The one who lives in the one room shack. He’s gotta be the most important dude in that village now.

  • http://www.willisms.com/ Zsa Zsa

di, I too have wondered about Obamas Grandma? I am glad someone else was curious.

  • http://www.willisms.com/ Zsa Zsa

Whistle, I doubt Obama would send her money when she got home. This way he can see to it that she does some community service and that the US Taxpayers take care of her! Maybe get her a FREE hover round? Medicare, Welfare…

  • http://SayAnythingBlog.com The_Whistler_ofnd

President Bush wanted one of his relatives by his side.

I wasn’t aware that Obama let her ANYWHERE near him during the entire election, let alone after his grandmother died.

  • http://SayAnythingBlog.com The_Whistler_ofnd

I’m sure that when(?) she gets deported that Obama will help her out by sending her enough money to live well back home in Kenya.

  • RebTex

    Did they bury his grandmother

    Di,
In holding with Christian traditions, obama’s grandmother hasn’t been buried yet. He’ll go back sometime in December to handle the services….

Yeah, you will be labeled unpatriotic, un-American, dirty Marxist commie.

You were all that before you spewed the hateful lies about McCain. You certainly haven’t been threatened with censorship for posting your crap. Quit being such a drama queen.

  • Seth Williams

If true (I try to take anonymously sourced stories with a grain of salt, makes it hard to verify), then this really is an outrage.

  • http://reasonsnottovoteformccain.blogspot.com/ Morr

Do you think the title of this post “George Bush Suspends All Deportations So Obama’s Illegal Aunt Doesn’t Get Deported” might be misleading or false?

  • Jerry

Bush’s favorability rating would be much higher if he could only manage to get a few “Republicans” to like him.

  • http://www.willisms.com/ Zsa Zsa

Mickey, I would almost bet Obama has issues with his family members. He doesn’t seem to be too eager to embrace any of them publicly, except for Michelle and his 2 little girls.

  • RebTex

It’s hard to lose your whole family and not have anyone to share anything with.Obama might not have been close to his aunty, but just having her around probaly meant the world too him after his grandma died a day before the election

I think you might be projecting your own standards on obama.
He didn’t care enough about his own mother to be there for her.
Again, at the death of his grandmother, he was absent.
He didn’t care enough about his kids to let them visit their great grandmother one last time.
He has a brother living in squallor & an aunt pilferring in public housing.
He has kids that he refused the joy of having a dog.

Narcissus…I mean obama…. doesn’t care about those around him.
    .
    .
I DO agree that the compassion of G.W. is more than has been seen from many in the recent past.

  • http://SayAnythingBlog.com The_Whistler_ofnd

That’s true, and we’ll probably never prove why GWB did this.

On the other hand if he issued such an order he’s in the wrong. You don’t shut down the justice department for 3 months, not even one department.

  • kbiel

This illustrates a stark contrast between Republicans and Democrats. When it came to light that Auntie Zeituni was here illegally, Bush tried to make it a non-issue for the election*. When Joe Wurzelbacher gets his name in the paper for asking simple question and getting a shockingly honest answer from Obama, Democrat officials go ape to find any reason to discredit him, arrest him, or otherwise make his life hell.

    * I disagree that Bush should have done this or anything really. If ICE picks her up in their normal course of duties, well que sera sera. I don’t think the order was necessary to protect her though, ICE clearly does not have the intelligence of the press corp who were able to find her in less than a day.

Do you think the title of this post “George Bush Suspends All Deportations So Obama’s Illegal Aunt Doesn’t Get Deported” might be misleading or false?

Not really, Michelle Malkin has her source as is standing by the story. However the doubting Thomas have reason to be skeptical.

Which way would he be counting on those votes to go?

    That’s what bugs me.

  • Oswaldo

Guess what folks, the day of honest, sincere, and vocal opposition may be coming to an end.

I agree when it comes to McCain.

You can’t question his past associates (Bush, Keating Five),
You can’t question his past experience (concealing shady POW facts, adultery, flip flopping).
You can’t question his campaign contributions and spending (who is paying for ads).
You can’t question his going to Middle East (with Lieberman, a Jew) and Europe, trying to conduct foreign policy (“All Americans are Georgians”) before becoming the President.
You can’t question the presumption that he will be the absolutely best President we have ever had (war hero, war supporter, war freak).

If you do, know what you will be labeled

Yeah, you will be labeled unpatriotic, un-American, dirty Marxist commie.

  • robert108

Rob, your source, rightwinger Michelle Malkin, has her unique way of reporting on this.

Yes, it’s called “telling the truth”; it’s unique to leftie liars like you, who don’t even know the difference between a conservative and a “rightwinger”. You just repeat a typical leftie lie there. Conservatives, who support fundamental American values like the Constitution and the founding principles, are not “rightwingers”. Unless you are so ignorant that you think the Constitution is a “rightwing” document, with its limited govt and fundamental liberties.
    Dumb, dumb, dumb!

  • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ proof_positive

Let the state take care of it.

Maybe she can share a room with Aunti and George?

  • http://www.willisms.com/ Zsa Zsa

I am glad his aunt is not getting deported. Obama should have helped her in the first place. He was probably too busy dreaming up Government programs though.

  • Oswaldo

I meant Whistler your source …

  • robert108

I am glad his aunt is not getting deported.

Why? She’s a scofflaw, and her being politically connected just makes it corruption.

  • http://www.willisms.com/ Zsa Zsa

Robert108, Obama should have helped her get here legally. Corrupt? I have a feeling that corruption is what got Obama elected.

  • kbiel

Whistle, I doubt Obama would send her money when she got home.

Quite the contrary. I expect him to send her, and her fellow Kenyans, lots of money. Our money. You know, because “spread[ing] the wealth around [is] good for everybody.”

  • Mickey

    RebTex.

Her vote was counted, he doesn’t need the old gal anymore. Let the state take care of it.

  • Mickey

Can’t she move in with the Obama’s?

  • Oswaldo

Rob, your source, rightwinger Michelle Malkin, has her unique way of reporting on this.
It wasn’t all about Obama’s Aunt. In fact, Malkin failed to point out that it had nothing at all to do with her. It’s about 700,000 people having the same immigration status.
Back in June, the U.S. Conference of Mayors passed a resolution calling on Bush to issue that cease and desist order. Their resolution basically asked Bush to do the following:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by The U.S. Conference of Mayors acting on behalf of its constituents to call on the President of the United States to issue an executive order to cease and desist in the execution of all raids and deportations that do not relate to our national security or to criminal activity until comprehensive immigration reform is completed and to suspend immediately all deportations of parents with U.S. citizen children; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the U.S. Conference of Mayors supports comprehensive immigration reform which promotes the reunification of families, provides legal status with a path to earned citizenship to the estimated 12 million undocumented workers and designs a plan for current and future immigrant workers.

    Resolution again

  • ThinkAboutIt

I think it was a smart move on President Bush part for now.
Although i don’t care for Obama,But i’m sure after his grandmother died that President Bush wanted one of his relatives by his side. After all Obama has lost everyone close to him.Beside’s this is the other side of Pres.Bush that noone knows about. The man truly cares for other people
and he has sympathy where a lot of you don’t.Thank God for President Bush and may he be Blessed for doing this.Obama’s Aunty wont be around forever but just the idea of a relative left,to see him when he won the presidency.I truly have to say,Pres.Bush done what i would have done.
It’s hard to lose your whole family and not have anyone to share anything with.Obama might not have been close to his aunty, but just having her around probaly meant the world too him after his grandma died a day before the election.
Pres.Bush does have a heart and he does care about People.I can see him doing this for anyone, not just Obama.but for anyone that has lost their family.I will say,Thank You Pres.Bush and may you and your family continuously be Blessed.

  • Oswaldo

The second would be up for debate. Maybe GWB wanted to make sure that all the illegals not yet in custody got their chance to vote

Which way would he be counting on those votes to go?

  • http://SayAnythingBlog.com The_Whistler_ofnd

I know you won’t be labeled a journalist.

  • http://SayAnythingBlog.com The_Whistler_ofnd

Are you saying he didn’t issue the 3-DAY order, or are you disputing the reason why.

Certainly the first would be something that’s verifiable.

The second would be up for debate. Maybe GWB wanted to make sure that all the illegals not yet in custody got their chance to vote.

  • http://SayAnythingBlog.com The_Whistler_ofnd

    Thanks for the credit.

Why should a bunch of liberal mayors get to decide the immigration laws. I thought that was for the people through their elected representatives.

The fact is the jerks in Washington have ignored the law for the last 20 years. Now due to their malfeasance they think that we should grant amnesty to the lawbreakers. (that’s exactly John McCain’s position.)

I don’t agree. These are lawbreakers that need to get themselves back home.

  • WOOFX

    Save the crony.

Michael Chertoff announced that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) chief Julie Myers will be stepping down

Myers’s resignation comes just days after a “federal law enforcement official” told the AP that Barack Obama’s aunt was living in the United States illegally. ICE officials, however, are “prohibited from commenting on any individual’s status or the status of any case.”

She was widely criticized as being a crony hire, being the daughter of former Air Force Gen. Richard Myers and possessing almost no immigration or customs experience.
