Ouch: Crossroads Hits Heitkamp On Her Record As Attorney General
Update: Crossroads has since pulled this ad. Details here.
Crossroads GPS has a new ad out in North Dakota hitting liberal Senate candidate Heidi Heitkamp on some issues from her tenure as state Attorney General back in the 1990′s which I posted about back in March.
These issues are significant, especially in light of the fact that Heitkamp has made a campaign promise to help balance the national budget by reducing the costs of her Senate office. Not only does that sound a bit like trying to empty out a bath tub with a tea spoon, but you have to wonder how serious Heitkamp really is about that when she spent so lavishly on her office as AG.
The purchase of a private airplane for her office is, in and of itself, a pretty big deal. Heitkamp didn’t even bother telling legislators about the purchase, asserting after the fact that she could spend her office’s budget any way she saw fit.
Is that sort of defiant spendthrift really who we need in Washington DC?Tags: crossroads gps, election 2012, Heidi Heitkamp, North Dakota News
