There’s an address of Panama on the email and the links all go to some kind of tracking website. I don’t know what this does but it sure smells like a phishing scheme to me.

    Just goes to show that you receive very little email outside your business associates that is worth opening.

    I ignore everything on my business email account if it does not pertain to the mission at hand.

    The things people do:
    Put their email account name to every website that asks for it.
    Use business email for personal reasons. Damn if I want any organization knowing my personal correspondence. People treat an email account as being as private as a personal phone call made on the company dime.

    They fall for those “You just won ten thousand dollars” and then go to a site that asks for info from your social security number to which hand do you use to wipe your ass.

    I have actually had people complain to me that they filled out a form to win a prize and they never hear back. Wanted me to go search down the response they were expecting…Fat Chance..

    I do the same for my personal email accounts.

    Since the new version of OpenOffice is 3.0, I would guess that anything being marketed as OO 2009 is fully scam-tastic.
