One Man Gaffe Machine Imitates Energizer Bunny

Barack Obama is at it again! Holy Cow! Does this guy ever stop? Recently in Israel, Obama made a pledge:

“In terms of knowing my commitments, you don’t have to just look at my words. You can look at my deeds. Just this past week, we passed out of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, which is my committee, a bill to call for divestment from Iran as a way of ratcheting up the pressure to ensure that they don’t obtain a nuclear weapon.”

Sounds lovely! Sort of brings a tear to the eye, doesn’t it? Until you realize that Barack Obama is NOT a member of the US Senate Banking Committee! In other words, he’s saying, you don’t have to rely just on my phony rhetoric, you can rely on my taking claim for other people’s work as well!

Powerline calls it: The Fine Line between lying and pandering. I call it, the “Can’t Walk a Straight Line Between the Truth and Whatever the Audience Needs to hear”!

If committed by a Republican, this would be a gaffe of historic proportions. Even a Senator as inattentive to his duties as Obama certainly knows what committees he serves on. For him to fabricate the claim, out of whole cloth, that the Senate Banking Committee is “[his] committee,” strikes me as another sign of Obama’s megalomania. That, plus more evidence that he is totally at sea without a teleprompter.

Obama tells you that his word is as good as his bond (Yeah. Right!) But, beyond that, you can rely on his non-existent actions to back up his word! Well! I certainly am a lot more comforted now that he really means what he says! / sarcasm

Again, I would make the plea: Is there somewhere we could we institute a National Clearing House to keep track of all the Obama gaffes? I’m still thinking we could get by with a facility half the size of the Library of Congress (maybe!), and maybe a minimum of six full and part-time staff to provide the 24/7 coverage needed.

After he finally cleared the bar in the primaries he looked like he was changing his tune on issues in an effort to move back to a more centerist position for the Presidential race. Now he can’t seem to find where he wants to establish his position, which indicates that he’s never had a position on the national level issues the voting public is concerned about. A clear display of lack of experience on his part.

At this point there’s a chance he could be the countries first black President, but the way it’s looking it will be up to someone else to be the countries first effective black president.

Sheesh, this guy is going to make me nostalgic for Clinton.  It always infuriated me when reporters didn’t keep Clinton honest, and this is even worse.  Sigh.

The major Sunni sheik who John McCain said was protected by the surge and subsequently helped lead the Anbar Awakening, was actually assassinated by an al-Qaeda led group in midst of the surge.

On Tuesday evening, McCain falsely claimed that the downturn in violence in Iraq’s Anbar province was a result of the surge, when in fact the surge began months afterward. Moreover, he said, if it weren’t for the work of U.S. forces, the major Sunni figure leading that awakening wouldn’t have had the protection he needed.

“Colonel MacFarland was contacted by one of the major Sunni sheiks,” said the Senator. “Because of the surge we were able to go out and protect that sheik and others. And it began the Anbar awakening.”

The Arizona Republican’s campaign went further the next day, claiming that the major figures that turned around Anbar province would have been killed had the surge policy not been in place. “If Barack Obama had had his way, the Sheiks who started the Awakening would have been murdered at the hands of al Qaeda,” said spokesman Tucker Bounds.

Excuse me, you were saying?

I.e. you can’t believe a f**king thing he says.

You don’t have to be a moron to be a liberal Democrat but it sure helps.

When they quote Flipper John I am.

Be careful there RBB, you might ruin any future chances of credibility quoting from a site that routinely posts opinion pieces with the intent to incite loyal readers, then promptly shutting down comments due to said incited readers posting comments that embarrass the proprietor. But then, I could be wrong about your future chances of credibility, maybe it’s too late…

Where is your name Obama? Sorry pal, Proof is right you are not even a member. Now don’t get excited folks, he misspoke and will soon spin this around and around until he will be right and the facts wrong and roughly 50% of the country will believe him.

Even if these were Obama’s deeds - divestment! He thinks that this is such a great idea that it is worth selling even though it is not true.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad isn’t going to let divestment deter him. He’s going to smile at Barack the fool while laughing behind his back. The nuclear program will continue undeterred.

Barack Obama is a weak teddy bear up against some of the world’s most determined mad men.

Obama is as incompetent as Jimmy Carter was,
a smooth talker as Bill Clinton is,
and lies as much as Al Gore did and still does.

How could liberals not love Obama?

Durrrr if McCain said the surge protected a fellow that it did actually protect even though that man was killed during the ongoing effort and his followers pledged to make AQ rue the day (and since have kept that pledge) that means he lied Durrrrrrrrrrr!  That means no one is protected by the surge! Durrrrrrrrr!  I’m ‘reality based’. Durrrrrrrrrrr!  Flipper flip flop flipper floppin Durrrrrrr!! I got you McCain!  Durrrrrrrr!
