Obama’s Potential Pick For Attorney General Plagued With Scandal From Countrywide, 9/11

I know Obama talks a lot about audacity, but the cojones it would take to appointment someone like Jamie Gorelick - a true-blue “friend of Angelo” and the author of the much-talked about “wall” between domestic and national intelligence that many (including me) precipitated the intelligence failures that allowed 9/11 to happen - would be nothing short of astounding.

Do even liberals believe that this is the sort of “change we can believe in” Obama promised?

Are you kidding me?  Jamie Gorelick?

CHANGE!  All the way back to 1992!

Yeah isn’t it funny how we keep recycling the same clintoniestas (sp) Funny how they are all wrapped up in the Mortage scandal as well. I am sure the media won’t cover that as well. The GOP needs to harp on this and call for investigations.

Why don’t you actually wait for an appointment to criticize.

Oh, I know why, you would have nothing to write if it wasn’t for rumors.

Jamie Gorelick is a potential pick for AG.  I wrote factual things about her public record.

Why do you have a problem with free speech?

The purpose of government shouldn’t be to do good, but simply to refrain from doing evil.

Republicans are still going through the stages of grief. Their still at anger, give them time.

Fuck a bunch of grief…who’s got time for it besides you pantywaist liberals… we’re re-tooling, man.

The battle for freedom must be won over and over again.

“re-tooling”—So that’s what you call a circular firing squad nowadays.

Rob, I guess the Liberals didn’t get the memo that the conseratives in exhile were going to be all over this administration. There no free passes here.

Really? Because I don’t see it.

I think you’re just projecting.

Remember the impotent rage the left blasted at us four years ago? Remember how they joined with our enemies in insulting America and “Jesus land”? You’re not seeing that today.

Wow.  Jamie Gorelick; after already choosing a Freddie/Fannie board member for his Chief of Staff (Rahmbo Emmanuel).  Gorelick was on the executive staff of Fannie.

Yes it would take balls, but it works in our favor for ‘10 if he does it.

So, when is Barri going to talk to anyone about a position in his Admin who is not a DC insider. That is what he spent a year promising, no more DC insiders, gonna “change” America. Well, it is same old same, so far.

Le Twit: It is a common practice for administrations to send up “trial balloons” of names for confirmations to see which ones are acceptable or will cost the most political capital to confirm.

Letting those administrations know that certain individuals are too radical or incompetent to serve is a time honored tradition.

But then, you’d have nothing to write about if it wasn’t for baseless accusations, would you?

You know, if you’ve never heard that name pronounced you would quite understandably read it as Gore Lick.
and if you remember her job in the Clinton administration, you still might.

Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday, liberals are the reason why.

Maybe these proposed appointments will be what it takes for the media to wake up and realize who actually caused the financial disaster we had this year.

The Gorelick one astounds me; she’s the one who refused to recuse herself from the 9/11 commission, despite the fact that her policies were key to understanding the whole disaster.  One would think that someone without a working knowledge of how recusal works would be automatically disqualified from such a post.

Yeah, and the dumb decision, and the financial stuff, too.  Yeesh.  What does an Ivy Leaguer have to do to stop getting gold plated offers from political cronies?  Get caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy?  (or the opposite for ladies such as Ms. Gorelick?)

Onslaught,

Definately disturbing, but spot-on. I still refer to her as Gore-lick. She is toxic, why, why, why would he want her? If he doesn’t destroy himself, she will be sure to do it for him.

di butler on November 10, 2008 at 09:49 am

Jamie Gorelick:

1. Helped cover up Clinton era scandals.

2. was the architect of the “wall” that prevented law enforcement and intelligence agencies from helping each other track terrorists, allowing the 9/11 terrorists to fly under the radar.

3. Helped Fannie Mae executives loot the organization of $200 million through a series of Enron style accounting tricks, ultimately bearing much of the responsibility for the financial collapse that dominated the election.

4. Has been a paid appologists for those who violated the civil rights of Duke Lacrosse Players who were nearly framed for a crime that never happened.

I can’t believe Obama would be stupid enough to put the mistress of disaster back in government employ.

No, no no.  Not another Janet Reno.

She was The Torch’s right hand, and studied well the lessons gained from burning innocent children and women to death for political expediency. No wonder she sides with terrorists against America, she loves the smell of burning bodies in the morning, too.
