Obama’s Latest Selection For Commerce Secretary Has Some Skeletons In His Closet

Here we go again. Explains Michelle Malkin:

I covered Gary Locke when I worked at the Seattle Times. I dealt with his campaign and gubernatorial staffs. “Strait-laced” is not the adjective I’d use for my dealings with him and his people.
In response to my columns pressing Locke on his close ties to campaign finance crook John Huang, the governor’s office first stonewalled. His standard Democrat smokescreen? Play the race card and play the victim.

Hope and change!
By the way, if Gary Locke flops like Bill Richardson and Judd Gregg did that will make three failed nominations for Obama just for his commerce department appointment.
I wonder if at some point Obama is going to stop getting his picture taken with nominees until after they’re appointed?

    I didn’t thing there were any straight-laced politicians accepting nominations to join Obama’s machine. To be a part of the machine you have to be a little greasy don’t you? Otherwise the Machine may start to break down and perhaps leak oil.

    What about the Swiss bank business. I wonder how many who has these accounts will be Dems? Remember they have no problem with helping those less fortunate, as long as it is us!

    Locke is associated with Seattle’s Davis Wright Tremaine Law Firm and they are all money sucking swindlers.
    This law firm graciously worked pro bono to represent some parents suing the Seattle School District and once DWT won their case … the firm is now in a $2 million law suit over legal fees.
    I guess pro bono doesn’t really mean pro bono to crooked ass people

    Obama sure knows how to pick em! Nothing speaks to the Markets like a brand new POTUS who can’t even choose decent cabinet members. We are in for some haaaaaaard times. Obama is such a LOSER!

    The closet looks ugly. When he was running for governor, wasn’t there illegal campaign money from China which was returned,(supposadly) after the news of it was out in the open?

    I doubt it. I think this is likely to be much more substantive, and far-reaching.

    And Obama can hardly afford to get rid of Fitzgerald, who has already demonstrated a willingness to take his evidence directly to the public (c.f. Blago).

    My bet is that one way or another, Obama will be, at best, a one-term president. If his Keynesian economic foolishness doesn’t trip him up, or another terrorist attack, Patrick Fitzgerald will.
