That is the logical conclusion when comparing public and private pronouncements.

and realize that your candidate just revealed how he feels about those of us in middle america when he was courting the hoi polloi in SF. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that when he says one thing in front of a camera and when he’s in private he says another, that one should believe that which was said when the speaker is confident there are “no witnesses” so-to-speak.

At best, they are bewilderingly out of touch with the values and the cultural heritage of those he would govern. At worst, like their more virulent supporters, here and elsewhere, they betray a condescension and disdain that mark them as dangerously surreal in their arrogance.
