The point of the thousands of tea party protests in cities across America (or the minority as you call it) was about stopping irresponsible spending of the current government which will inevitably result in crushing taxes later. This, coming at a time when unemployment is already screaming up to double digits. Higher taxes on businesses results in less net income, which results in higher price of goods and services and MORE layoffs. It wasn’t about being sore about who won the election. If Obama had policies that would fix the economy, insure national security, and reward hard work and individual liberties, I’d be singing the praises of his administration. It’s not about wanting him to fail. It’s about KNOWING he and his policies are going to fail and WANTING to prevent America from failing as a result. Please feel free to refute any of my above statements using sound logic and facts, staying on topic as much as possible. Stimulus spending is helping keep things going. His budget resets priorities with items such as health care reform that have been long neglected and will keep dragging us down if we do nothing.

Of course we’ll see taxes rise. That’s the consequence of all those tax cuts you voted for. Who do you think is going to pay off all that republican debt? You don’t want the rich to pay so it will come from your kids.

likwidshoe is right. NONE of the Obama weenies can articulate a coherent logical self-consistent theory of how Obama’s spending helps the economy that stands up to known economics principles, human psychology and sociology, and historical precedent.

Dino’s entire point as best he can make at all is that Bush spent us into the poor house, but he makes that point while deflecting from the fact, which Dino does not deny, that Obama has single-handedly (well, with the help of the congressional Democrats) outdone Bush several times over inside of the first four months of his presidency.
