Obama’s 7th Circuit Nominee Thinks Praying In The Name Of Jesus Is Bad, But Praying To Allah Is Good

Recently Obama nominated David Hamilton to fill a vacancy on the federal bench in the 7th circuit. Democrats have moved quickly to ram-rod this appointment through the Senate with as little debate and scrutiny as possible. Republicans have responded by boycotting the nomination hearings. Which you heard about, right? I mean, surely the media wouldn’t let a pitched battle over one of Obama’s judicial appointments go unnoticed, would they?
Of course they would. But I digress. The reason why Republicans aren’t happy about the Democrats’ moves to appoint Hamilton just days after his nomination was announced (average lag between nomination and approval for Bush’s judicial appointees was 166 days, for Clinton it was 117 days) is because this guy’s rulings…well, I’ll let S.E. Cupp explain:

For one, he sought to bar prayers that mention Jesus Christ at the opening of each daily session of the Indiana House of Representatives, claiming people do not have a First Amendment right to use an official platform to express their own religious faith. But – and here’s where it gets good – praying in the name of Allah was perfectly fine.
“If those offering prayers in the Indiana House of Representatives choose to use the Arabic ‘Allah,’” or any other non-English word for God besides “Jesus Christ,” “the court sees little risk that the choice of language would advance a particular religion or disparage others.”

Right. Because “Allah” isn’t associated with any particular religion, right? It gets worse:

…in 2001 he decided that requiring women to get information from their doctors about the medical risks of abortions at least 18 hours before the procedure placed an undue burden on women’s rights to get an abortion, and quickly. As we all know, information is the real culprit behind the rise in unwanted pregnancies, so we can all understand Judge Hamilton’s rationale behind trying to make it some kind of illegal contraband. This ruling, too, was reversed by the appeals court, which, in a bizarre twist, found that informing women before surgery was “reasonable, sensible and lawful.” Those kooky appeals judges…
And just last year, Hamilton struck down a provision that would have allowed law enforcement officials to search suspicious sex offenders’ computers if they’d already served time for, well, being sex offenders. As the former leader of the Indiana chapter of the ACLU, I guess it’s no surprise that Judge Hamilton has a soft spot for violent criminals.

I actually opposed the legislation that would have required sex offenders to submit their online passwords to law enforcement so that their internet activities could be monitored and scrutinized, but I did so on the basis that such a law would a) suck up vast amounts of law enforcement resources that b) could be better spent keeping these idiots in jail. After all, if someone is so dangerous they can’t even be trusted with an unmonitored Facebook account what in the world are they doing out of jail?
But Hamilton’s decision based on the privacy of the sex offenders is just plain absurd.
Oh, and did I mention that this guy is an ACORN fund raiser?
When the Democrats and Obama were put into office in 2006 and 2008 respectively they promised open, honest and transparent government. Does attempting to fast-track through the Senate a far-left, uber-liberal federal judge with troubling ties to vote fraud groups like ACORN in order to avoid public/Republican scrutiny and criticism sound like open, honest and transparent leadership?
Of course not. But then again, those were just things Obama and his Democrats said to get elected. You didn’t expect them to live up to them, did you?

    goon,

The Republican’s ran a RINO. Excitement among the base for such was not going to happen.

If “the One” is successful in securing voting rights for illegals we may never see a time when the GOP will rise again. That is their goal, to numerically overwhelm, with Gerymandering, non-secret voting, and a hundred other cute tricks, their opponents. The mere fact that the least qualified POTUS in history resides in that high office should cause us all to re-examine how that nightmare came to be.

Praying to end abortion supersedes any and all prayers on the domestic front:

It should be good news that at least one sector of our economy is thriving but, unfortunately for pre-born human life, that fact represents very bad news.

With approximately 50,000,000 legal abortions already performed in America since Roe v. Wade, the leader in the highly lucrative business of killing the pre-born has announced its bottom line is looking just peachy keen. “The Planned Parenthood Federation of American [PPFOA] released its annual report for 2007-2008 last week, revealing record net assets of $1.014 billion and an increase of 15,560 more abortions in 2007 than the previous year:” http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=46449.

Rendering that success even peachier, that CNS report includes what may be a revelation to some, namely that “The American taxpayer also contributed more than ever before, with $349.6 million of Planned Parenthood’s funding coming from government grants and contracts.”

The PPFOA is right up there with politicians as the most deceptive and hypocritical group in our country but, whereas politicos are generally understood to be liars and cheats, the PPFOA is considered fairly reputable. Witness that $349.6 million of hard earned taxes which goes into its coffers, thanks to you, me, and everyone else, which monies would never be funneled into a disreputable organization, right?

Why is the PPFOA deceptive, hypocritical, and disreputable? Let’s start with its very name which suggests it is an altruistic association dedicated to “planning parenthood” when, in truth, it has achieved over a billion dollars in assets largely by virtue of ending not planning the prospect of parenthood, that is, by aborting human lives. Using the word, “virtue” in the same breath with the PPFOA must in itself be immoral.

Avid supporters of avid abortion supporter, Barack Obama, the PPFOA proudly reported that it had outdone itself by performing 15,560 more abortions in 2007 than it had in 2006, or 305,310 versus 289,750. That 2007 number accounts for fully 25% of all induced abortions in America. Regrettably for the PPFOA, (and for the pre-born), it has a great deal of competition in the baby murder business. Still, 25% is anything but a shabby total and reflects the truly outstanding job they’re doing for people intent on “planning parenthood.”

The PPFOA was founded in 1925 as the American Birth Control League, ABCL, by radical eugenist/racist Margaret Sanger who sought to rid the world of “inferior” species, principally although not exclusively, Black people, via sterilization and extermination. Ironically or not so ironically, Sanger is belatedly succeeding since her brainchild today caters to, again principally though not exclusively, to minorities. Some have referred to those efforts as Black genocide: http://www.blackgenocide.org/sanger.html

Numbers can be very deceiving, especially when the Abortion Lobby publicizes them. For example, . . . (Read the rest at http://genelalor.com/)

The ignorants will fill the gulags … It always works out that way. When the free stuff that never was, runs out, the gulags will fill. How dumb do you have to be to not know that?

Apparently the qualifying dumbness is voting for Obama.

If “the One” is successful in securing voting rights for illegals we may never see a time when the GOP will rise again.

The funny thing is that they may approve of his socialist agenda, but with some of the sociological stuff like gay marriage they may not get everything what they want.

Their quest for perfection does fail again.

    goon,
The Republican’s ran a RINO. Excitement among the base for such was not going to happen.

Yeah I know but that RINO looks much better than the clown we have in office right now. That’s ok though I know in less than four years Jimmy Carter’s II will be going back to his Hyde Park Home.

ACLU members should not, ever, be judges. Period. Much less ACORN members. As for his efforts to make Islam America’s state religion, what happened to his screeching about separation of church and state?

  • http://ndgoon.blogspot.com/ goon

Oh, and did I mention that this guy is an ACORN fund raiser?

That should make it a non starter based on all the charges pending against ACORN right now.

  • http://ndgoon.blogspot.com/ goon

This past election proves what happens when conservatives stay home now we got this light weight in office and is going to run hail mary and stuff the courts with activist anti-American blow hards. Shameful.

That would be selective prejudicial establishment of a government religion.

With respect to the searching of suspects, I agree with Hamilton as we cannot savage the privacy of everyone based on suspicion. We work on innocent until proven guilty. I guarantee you if we infringe for one reason we deem at the moment to be sufficient provocation, when the pendulum swings the other way and the other side gets in power, they will magically find another thing near and dear to them that is deemed sufficient reason to infringe at the moment. Those infringements are almost NEVER rolled back. Our constitution needs to be defended against the political class at all costs.

Now then, on the Allah thing he’s clearly a moron. However, that would not be anything new given that Christianity is in the majority, we let people within a group savage that group freely such as blacks using the n-word, so as Christians lapse on observance and then giving a damn, they will increasingly put their own ostensible religion at a disadvantage to others.

They see Judaism as a forebearer and have decreasing guilt over the Holocaust and centuries of Christian attacks on Jews in Europe (if they even bother to learn anything of history before 1940 at all) and also lean on them.

Muslims however they see as unrelated and in their usual libtard style feel superior to them, and frame their deference in their minds as tolerating noisy children when in fact, they are cowed by their aggression. They also like to appropriate the religion and culture of others for their own psychological reasons such as their flirtations with Wicca, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc.

Seeing this anti-Christian sentiment from within was a no-brainer. That Hamilton still rubs the wrong way is I suppose a good sign, but you’re going to have an uphill battle to get people back to seeing how pernicious the bigotry is because the general public isn’t perceiving the libtards’ arrogant condescension.

  • http://suitepotato.blogspot.com/ sayanything-4808

I think you’re missing two important things. The largest anti-American sentiment comes from Americans and the largest anti-Christian sentiment comes from Christians. Also the most pernicious and dangerous. You have to ask why that is. Why the doubt, the depression, the dispirited state.

Start thinking like sales and marketing, start thinking psychology and sociocultural patterns. This defeatism where people are willing to vote not for a specific person but a state of being, like being Not Bush, didn’t start overnight. The people had to become ever more detached from believing specificity and affirmation were worthwhile. Instead of specific ideas and politics of candidates, they went to niche ideas and politics of entire parties. That they’d move to the next level of fuzzy thinking is not hard to see coming.

Reconnect them to the idea that the what they do matters. That is the single most important thing that conservatism can do. Rekindle their belief in the importance of a balance between them as individuals and their place as members of a larger society. Reverse the nihilistic trend towards saying fuck it and going for whatever they can get. Reverse the trend of settling for a decreasing future.
