Obama Trots Out The “Distractions” Line Again

You know how you can tell when you’re getting to Obama?  He starts blustering about “distractions.” He did it earlier this year, and he’s doing it again now.

(CNN) — Sen. Barack Obama on Sunday charged that Sen. John McCain’s campaign is launching “Swift boat-style attacks” on him instead of addressing the country’s problems.

“Sen. McCain and his operatives are gambling that they can distract you with smears rather than talk to you about substance. They’d rather try to tear our campaign down than lift this country up,” Obama said at an event in Asheville, North Carolina.

“That’s what you do when you’re out of touch, out of ideas, and running out of time,” he said.

Notice that bit about tearing Barry’s campaign down instead of building the country up?  Fancy bit of rhetoric, that.  He’s saying that if you don’t like the Barack Obama campaign, you don’t want to help America.

Arrogant.  Presumptive.  Mean-spirited.

And the “distractions” ruse is just that.  A ruse.  Obama wants to just dismiss all criticism of his campaign with a wave of his hand, and the media is more than willing to let him do it.  But that’s not how politics work in America.  Obama is actually going to have to address these criticisms of him.  Or he should have to address them, just as other politicians do.

Absolutely, McCain can’t talk about the economy so he’s willing lose his honor and integrity for the sake of winning at all costs.

The attacks on Obama don’t hold water and the citizens see if for what it is, a desperate attempt to talk about anything but the economy.

No he is saying when you offer nothing but attacks, you offer nothing.

McCain never talks about how he will help the country, he either talks about his personal narrative or he attacks Obama.

McCain wants to make this election about Obama, because he can’t win if it is about him.

I will say that it’s stupid for Republicans not to talk about the economy, because it’s big-government liberalism that has put us where we’re at.

The problem is that the GOP has lost credibility when it comes to matters of limited government, and John McCain certainly isn’t the standard bearer who can bring that credibility back.

Palin could be, but she’s saddled with McCain.

This is no victory for you liberals.

And the Ayers connection is no smear.  It’s Obama who chose to associate himself with Ayers, just as it was Obama who chose to associate himself with Wright.

McCain needs to ramp it up...exponentially ! ....turn on the after burners !

I agree with one thing - McCain should have addressed this huge closet of corrupt putrid skeletons rattling around in Obama’s closet a year ago - but better late than never.

Just because his messianic followers live in denial about the truth of their chosen one’s lack of experience, integrity and judgment...or don’t want to hear the truth about the facts that he’s been in bed with corrupt politicians, anti-American domestic terrorists, and has fed on a steady diet of black liberation theology by racists preachers for 20 years, does not make it suddenly irrelevant to all Americans.

Everyone needs to make an informed decision - then if they choose to ignore it and go ahead and vote for him in spite of the truth, when America’s sovereignty and freedom is gone and a black racist tyrant overthrows our constitution, they can’t blame Republicans or Democrats, they will only be able to blame themselves for their stupidity.

Many people, especially the older generation only get their news from the MSM who has covered up his dirt from the day he stepped on the national stage. It’s time it’s exposed and if it take’s a Barracuda like Sarah to get it out there, then I say go girl!

Aside from William Ayers, what other people has Obama been tied to that could be called radicals or extremists?

Don’t forget the indirect link to Ahmed Yousef, a political adviser to the militant Palestinian group Hamas. Yousef told an interviewer on WABC radio that--

“We like Mr. Obama” and “we hope that he will win the election.”

Yousef’s comments sparked intense criticism from John McCain who vowed to be “Hamas’ worst nightmare.”

“If Sen. Obama is favored by Hamas, I think people can make judgments accordingly,” McCain said.

Barack Obama says he understood why a top Hamas adviser voiced support for his presidential bid.

“It’s conceivable that there are those in the Arab world who say to themselves, ‘This is a guy who spent some time in the Muslim world, has a middle name of Hussein and appears more worldly and has called for talks with people, and so he’s not going to be engaging in the same sort of cowboy diplomacy as George Bush,’”

Interview with The Atlantic.

“That’s a perfectly legitimate perception

Obama said.

McCain never talks about how he will help the country, he either talks about his personal narrative or he attacks Obama.

And that is simply not true.

Every time truth emerges about Obama and he regrets what he hears, he immediately claims, “I am being Swift Boated.”

Someone should level with Obama and let him know that America, save for the loonies, is on to him!

Some one tell me...just who is Barry Sotelo? Hmmm and alias of Obama?

It’s very, very simple.. to me..

Obama “Does” have close association with Radicals…
Hell,.. He stayed with Rev. Wright for ove 20 years, poisoning the minds of his children..
He has “no” track record to speak of, and wants to “Tax” the daylights out of us.

Where’s the Good in him?????

If the MSM had done their job during the Democratic primary and investigated Obama properly. Then maybe you could say McCain was whinning. But the MSM did not do their job and in fact have actually allowed McCain do go after Obama in the last month with all of the trash that he has hidden. Now McCain and Palin can not only make Obama look really bad. The MSM is going to take a hit on this also. Go Palin.........keep up the questioning of Obama’s past.

How come it’s a distraction to link Senator Obama with William Ayers, but not a distraction to link Senator McCain with George W Bush?

It seems to me that Obama and Ayers are closer philosophically than McCain is with Bush.

Again we have leftie projection.  It’s Obama who is trying desperately to hid his past.  What you should have said is that Obama can’t win if everything is known about him.

He stayed with Rev. Wright for over 20 years, poisoning the minds of his children.

Is that the same Rev. Wright, “God damn America”, who Obama “could no more disown him than my own White grandmother"… only to disown him two weeks later?  That Rev. Wright?

Questions raised against Democrats are always “distractions.”

Questions raised against Republicans are always “critical isues.”
