Obama Taps Tom Daschle For Department Of Health

Yes, that Tom Daschle.  The Senate Minority Leader Americans voted out of office back in 2004.  A man who wants nationalized health care so badly he makes Hillary Clinton look like an open-markets gal.

Former Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle (D-S.D.) has been offered the job of Health and Human Services secretary by President-elect Barack Obama and has accepted the job, according to a Democratic source close to Daschle.

Daschle, who served in the Senate until he lost his re-election bid in 2004, also is set to take on the position of “health care czar” in the Obama White House, ensuring that he does not get bigfooted on matters relating to health care policy, according to this source.

Daschle was a close adviser to Obama throughout the Illinois Democrat’s presidential campaign, and has been outspoken about his desire to enact a government-funded health care insurance program to help cover the approximately 40 million Americans who do not have coverage.

So, basically, Obama has picked a failed US Senator who advocates for a nationalized health care system that Americans already rejected once when it was Hillary’s idea and this is supposed to be change?

The change is that they had to wait for another generation of Americans to graduate from failed high schools, and grow more apathetic to paying attention to what is happening in the world around them.

They had to wait for the ‘drive by’ media to become more solidly in the tank for the democrats and give up all semblance of objectivity.

They had to wait for George W. Bush to stand there with his veto pen in his hand on ANY government spending bill for more than 4 years watching the parade of money flow from the Federal Government.

They had to wait for the economy to blow up, gas prices to rise and prices to start going up on everything including medical, so people feel like they can’t afford it.

They had to wait for the BIG lie of BIG government to take effect, and now they think that this is the time for the roll out of nationalized health care.

The pawns are in place, now bring in the queen to set up the checkmate.

“Obama taps Tom Daschle”?  After watching the Obama bowling video, that’s no surprise.

If govt control of the economy were the way to go, the Soviet Union would be the richest, most powerful nation in the history of the world.

Thanks to Obama, America remains the only country where it is illegal to drill our own oil!

Change??? That is what drove the 70’s crowd away from politics. Obama is just like any other one in Washington. Say what you want to get elected than forget the change part

Although I do feel that Daschle has much to prove, I truly believe that positive thought can transform this country! While it may be easy to dwell on negative aspects of Daschle’s policies, we can only look to the future and all that it holds in store for us. I’ve been using this concept in my personal life as well. Positive thought combined with the use of vision boards has truly helped me be more open to opportunity and change for the better! Like Obama says, “I’m asking you to believe. Not just in my ability to bring about real change in Washington…I’m asking you to believe in yours.” Here’s a great resource explaining (better than I can) how to use these concepts to better your life: http://www.thevisionboardkit.com. You can download a free first chapter, too!
