Obama Rally Sets Up Porta Potties At Site of Police Memorial

This next one is kind of hard to believe, but that big Obama rally of 75,000 in Portland that all the libs were bragging about not too long ago? Seems like one of the local organizers has, literally, piss poor judgment!
Portapotties On Police Memorial

PORTLAND, Ore.—Portland police officers have asked for an apology after they said organizers of a Barack Obama rally set up Porta-Potties on a memorial honoring fallen officers.

Earlier this month, 75,000 people gathered in Waterfront Park in downtown Portland to hear Obama speak at a pre-primary rally.

The flag is still at half mast, honoring fallen officers.

...Brennan, who controlled the crowd near the Portland Police Memorial, noticed several Porta Potties set up in the middle of the memorial. Brennan had been at the site five days earlier for an annual memorial service and a flag was still set at half mast on the day of the rally.

“There was plenty of room elsewhere so space wasn’t an issue,” Brennan said. “So someone used some really poor decision making, whoever elected to put them there. I mean, it’s somewhat hallowed ground, I guess you could call it.”

After several days, Brennan attached a photo he took to a letter and e-mailed it to dozens of media outlets and the Obama campaign.

Brennan said officers haven’t heard back from the Obama campaign. He said someone owes an apology to the families of the fallen officers.

“Not for a moment do I think that Mr. Obama had anything to do with this,” Brennan said. “But somebody at his campaign at a local level made the decision to put them there. And I just want an acknowledgement: ‘Hey, we made a mistake.’”

Class! Real Class!

A representative with the Obama campaign responded Wednesday morning and said the Porta-Potties were placed at the memorial because of a safety issue for wheelchair access.

I call BS on this one! In the picture, there’s an awful lot of sidewalk between the memorial and the photographer where wheelchairs might boldly go!

All you need now is pictures of Obama picking up Porta Potties and moving them there. Good job!

Yea, that “rally” that was headlined by a FREE Rock Concert by a very popular Portland Rock Band, the Decemberists.  Funny that was never mentioned in the mainstream, everyone pretended it was Obama these people came out to see.

Nun-senze: Stop looking at all the shiny things and TRY TO FOCUS! No one said Obama was responsible. In fact, your ADD probably keeps you from remembering that INSIDE the story was this quote:

“Not for a moment do I think that Mr. Obama had anything to do with this,”

What does that sentence mean to you, Nun-senze? Having trouble comprehending them? Have the night nurse read it to you!
Please take your meds. Your mother cries herself to sleep every night!

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.

When will the Decemberists be playing Yankee Stadium?

Well, we know how Obama feels about Flag pins. So, it seems right on par with his love for our Nations Flag! Maybe he and his wife were making some kind of statement about how proud they are?

Again, no one is blaming Barack for this personally. But, it is not beyond believability that one of his God Damning America mentors or one of his Flag Stomping followers could have done this intentionally as a sign of disrespect.

And let’s not over-look the fact that these Decemberists are Socialists that usually start each concert with a Soviet National anthem....sang in it’s original language.....

Nunez - All you need now is pictures of Obama picking up Porta Potties and moving them there. Good job!

No. All we need is knowledge of the fact that Obama wildly cheered on the “God Damn America” guy.

“Good job!”?

Keep squirming.

Proof,

Your reactivity causes me much laughter. Your point which is layered within ad hominem and assumptions through a computer about, “No one said Obama was responsible.” That’s exactly the point, this post is useless and obviously just another C-rated slander towards anyone loosely affiliated with Obama or those god-hating ‘liberals.’

G.I. Bill?

What about it?

The one with the poison pill inserted into it?

“Liberal equality” = does not apply to the wealthy. They’re special people who require much higher taxes.

Now again - what about that G.I. Bill?

Keep squirming.

likwidshoe,

The one with the poison pill inserted into it?

How about some specificity?

“Liberal equality” = does not apply to the wealthy. They’re special people who require much higher taxes.

Explain ‘liberal equality’

Equating taxing the wealthy in this country as ‘liberal’ is a complete and utter fallacy. The United States has at least since the 18th and 19th Century taxed the wealthy in significant margins.

How about some specificity?

You’re the one who brought it up. How about some specificity?

Explain ‘liberal equality’

Anything “liberal”, used by the “progressives”, means the exact opposite. In this case, “liberal equality” would be illiberal inequality.

Equating taxing the wealthy in this country as ‘liberal’ is a complete and utter fallacy.

No kidding!

The United States has at least since the 18th and 19th Century taxed the wealthy in significant margins.

What’s your point?

Not exactly useless! It did expose your lack of reading comprehension!
The point, dullard, again, was not that Obama did anything wrong, but you have to question the judgment of some of those who would like to see Obama president.
Anyone, even someone with reading comprehension as bad as yours, who would place Porta Potties in a memorial to anyone has arguably bad judgment. Anyone who would do it at a police memorial could have seriously bad judgment and attitudes as regards to law enforcement in this country.

this post is...obviously just another C-rated slander

I thought in order for something to be slanderous, it had to be false!
Please point out anything in the post that is not true, or choose from the options below:

A) Nunez uses words he is unfamiliar with and does not know.
B) Nunez lies.
C) Both A) and B)
D) Too many words...could you repeat the question?

The Obama campaign staff is attempting to out-gaffe Obama. This is a fine example of what type of people were dealing with.

Mickey on May 30, 2008 at 05:09 am

Interesting that the Obama campaign, despite not having placed the porta-potties for the concert to begin with, is making things worse for itself by providing an obviously false excuse for those who did.

Hot diggity, that’s diplomacy there for ya!  Wait til he gets to Teheran with that bag of pork rinds and a six pack of PBR!
