Obama Picks Rahm Emanuel’s Brother To Replace Daschle

Because nothing says hope, change and accountability like nepotism.

WASHINGTON–While the Obama White House is searching for a replacement for health czar Tom Daschle, policy work on health care reform–a priority for the administration–Is ongoing with one key advisor especially well connected.
The brother of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, Dr. Ezekiel J. Emanuel, a noted bioethicist, is advising the Obama administration on health care reform.
Dr. Emanuel is the Chair of the Department of Bioethics at The Clinical Center of the National Institutes of Health and a breast oncologist.
Dr. Emanuel is a special advisor to the director of the White House Office of Management and Budget for health policy. He told me he is “working on (the) health care reform effort.” He is “detailed” to the OMB spot and is still officially an employee of the NIH.

Alright, maybe the nepotism thing is unfair. But the big question is: How soon until we find out that this guy didn’t pay his taxes?

Nepotism is when the person is hired despite not being qualified. The word gained popularity in the 1950s when republicans in power used the practice often.

    This guy is qualified.

Maybe Obama could have found a horse trainer to advise on health care policy like Brownie at FEMA.

  • Kidtransport

Seems when I was a kid a Democrat President had his brother for Attorney General.

Nepotism is when the person is hired despite not being qualified.

Stupid little dinostem is wrong again. The word “nepotism” denotes the hiring of relatives. It comes from the Latin word “nepos“, which means “nephew”.

    Dunce.

I think that cronyism a better word for describing Obamas political appointments.

“Yeah? Well, you’re not from Chicago!”

    Greetings:

Paraphrasing, “Never let a crisis or a brother go to waste.”

Are we to infer the NYT is also afflicted with ODS?

Absolutely not because they make reasonable complaints. 80% of the comments on this post are retarded. The general complaint in this post is retarded, but the authors own admission.

But half the SAB audience T’d off on the very thing Rob himself said was unfair.

The word derangement might be something you cherish Beardsley, the Ostentatious Merkin, but it is something I suggest you stray from at all costs.

Imagine the fuss if this was a Republican president.. It would be the main story on all the alphabet-soup media, the cover page on all the news magazines and we’d be reading/hearing about it ad nauseum forever…

  • Bat One

Seems when I was a kid a Democrat President had his brother for Attorney General.

Wasn’t that the DEMOCRAT Attorney General who ordered the wiretapping of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.?

Dino is continuing to be a source of entertainment…

Nepotism is most often associated with hiring the unqualified relatives.
Bush took it one step further and hired unqualified friends.

Replace Bush with Obama and you would be correct, DINO

Hannitized can’t tell the difference between a lefty sham film like the SNL skit and reality. Is that a case of RDS?

On another note, I have a friend who is an Obama supporter who is complaining bitterly about the “negative” press Obama’s been getting from the NYT.

Are we to infer the NYT is also afflicted with ODS?

If we can put the quibbleing about the obvious nepotism aside for a moment, I’d like to ask an impudent question: How is having doctors such as the presumably eminent Ezekiel Emmanuel advising the Obama administration on national health care issues any different from former Vice President Cheney hearing advice on national energy policy alternatives from executives from America’s energy companies?

Liberals stupidly screamed at the top of their lungs when Dick Cheney sat down with energy company experts before putting together administration proposals for national energy policies. So why is this any different?

  • robert108

Hiring friends isn’t nepotism, dunce. Nepotism is hiring relatives, qualified or not, dunce.
Stupid little dinostem continues to display his ignorance of everything.

Nepotism is when the person is hired despite not being qualified.

r108 beat me to it. The practice of nepotism refers to hiring friends or family, whether or not they are qualified. The worst examples are hiring the unqualified.
(I take it, you have relatives, Dino, hence…your job!)

  • gustave776

Dino, which employee of Bush was unqualified?
And Dino, who are you to qualify anyone, or know if anyone is qualified. If your comparison is comparing your self to others, you are way off base.

Still waiting for eunuchized the beardless catamite of the “freudian projections” and severe reluctance bordering on inability to admit error to tell us which board qualified psychiatrist has identified “ODS” as an abnormal psychology.

One suspects, given eunuchized’s track record in particular, and that of the leftards here in general, that we will be waiting a very long time to see that question answered.

    Hope Change and Nepotism.

    It’s an obamanation.

    kidtransport,

Ah yes, kennedy and nepotism are functionally synonymous, aren’t they?

  • http://www.dartemis.net/blog/ sayanything-42

eunuchized the beardless catamite of the “freudian projections” and severe reluctance bordering on inability to admit error makes reference to “ODS”. So tell us, eunuchized, what board qualified psychiatrist has identified “ODS” as an abnormal psychology?

  • gustave776

Dino, at least Bush has friends.

  • http://www.dartemis.net/blog/ sayanything-42

    Indeed it was.

Royalty is, after all, above the law. Just ask them!

  • http://www.dartemis.net/blog/ sayanything-42

It’s different because they are doing it and they are doing it for our own good, whether we like it or not.
